So im planning on getting a camcorder for this winter. I ski with a buddy of mine all the time so we would just be swapping everyy park lap to film eachother or so. Ive been looking into different camcorders and threads and such. I came to the conclusion tht the panasonic tm700 would be good if i bought it used. So what i need to know is, can i buy a fisheye for this camera? Does this cam work with a scorpian handle? Does this shoot good for follow cams?( thats what ill be using it most for) id appreciate some advice, any advice

itll work on one of those caddy cams for sure, buy a quick release and a tripod too. ive never heard of a fisheye for a camcorder like that, let alone any additional lenses for that matter. pretty sure they dont make them

It'll be an awesome camera. You can buy a fisheye for it that screws on to the filter threads, but since it uses 46mm threads and there aren't many lenses made for that filter size, you should buy a bigger size and use a step up ring. i'd recommend this http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/676994-REG/Opteka_OPTSC52FE_52mm_0_3X_HD_Ultra.html with a 46mm to 52mm step up ring. the tm700 will work with a scorpion handle since it has a tripod mount. it will take good follow cams if you hold it steady enough, a scorpion handle doesn't help all that much, but if you're using a fisheye then it's pretty easy to get decently stable shots.

the camera is 46mm. the lens is 52mm. From my understanding, that is pretty much the fish eye that everyone gets. the ring is a real cheap adapter that has 46mm threads on the camera side and 52mm threads on the lens side. this way you can buy lenses and filters that have a different thread size and put them on your camera.
