Need Ski Advice

I am 17 years old, 5'9" and about 130lbs. I've stopped growing for the most part so am looking for some skis that will last me a couple years.

I ski in Maryland/Pennsylvania, so we don't get much powder, but I would still like a ski that can perform in the powder if it comes along.

For the most part I am a starter with rails, I don't do jumps, but I do like backcountry (60% groomers, 25% rails, 15% backcountry/powder).

I'd like a ski that is around or under $500, and is between 80-90 underfoot, and around 170cm.

So far I'm mainly looking at the Armada El Rey, but I'm not sure what else is/would be better.

Suggestions?

Sparknotes: Need 170cm ski, 80-90 underfoot, that is good all around and is under $500.

The el rays looks like a ski that you would enjoy, they have a wide tip at tail with helps to float on east coast pow.

You should also check out the atomic patents, they are fully symmetrical and have a waist width of 95mm. They are nice and soft which will be ideal for your light weight, you'll have an easier time to handle them on groomers and when jibbing on rails.

If you're looking for a ski that kills it in the all mountain and in the park that has an early rise in the tip and tail take a look at the line blends. The early rise will make the skis super playful. That's why line gave them the name "blend" because it's a blend of a park and all mountain ski, pretty neat haha.

Look into the arv, they are more stable at speed than the el rey, and are a sidewall construction, rather than cap, therefore, generally going to be better durability wise

I would look at the k2 rivival or domains both 90 under foot and tip and tail rocker so they will do good all over the mountain and they are both great skis from what I've heard
