Which f stop should I shoot on if I'm looking for a lot of bokeh without running the chance of slightly getting one or the other person out of focus.

2.8?

Thanks for any advice.

I've been only shooting sr pictures not needing to focus on more than one face so this will be a bit diff. any ideas?

^dear god. hopefully a troll.

OP, i saw that you posted this in m&a as well, but you really are just gonna need to figure it out on the spot. depends on a lot of factors. 2.8 will probably be a little too shallow imo. i was shooting two person interviews yesterday and tried to stay around 5.6 or a little higher to get some bokeh but still have both people in focus. for more straight on interviews i was down around 4.

bokeh is the blur or out of focus areas.

f/22 would be the opposite of what I'm looking for. pretty much everything would be in focus.

I'm unsure of the f stop I should use because if I got too low like f/1.8 and their faces arent the same distance from each other my focus point will be super obvious leaving the other out of focus slightly.

Thanks man. Sometimes its hard to know for sure when you're out shooting because you cant blow it up on a computer screen which was what I was worried about too. I'll stick to your advice and just shoot as I see it. Thanks!
