bought the mo ships and r12. broke them both countless of times (sick shit). the warrenty will cover me till the 2007 season. free of charge. can get new ones on the same day. larry brown has a dildo up his pee hole.

I got Mo ships this year and I love them. THey are super fun to ski everywhere esecially in the park and of course are a dream in the powder. If you are looking for a dedicated pow ski for charging fast go with the Tis. They are a little stiffer and and more stable than the Flites. But honestly you couldn't go wrong with either.

To whoever suggested the Elizibeths. Kjust cause they are fat doesn't mean they are good in pow. The Eliz is a super flat ski meaning the tip barely comes off the snow. The tips would dive like crazy in deep snow. The tail is actually higher on them and it's not even as high as the one on the Moships.

More on the why the elizabeths would suck in pow, they have tons of side cut, side cut equals hooking in pow. If you haven't experienced hooking powder, you either don't ski the steep stuff, or don't ski steep and fast. Pure pow ski = spatulas, no hooking, no diving.

here's why the elizabeth's DON'T suck in powder. i own them, i've skied them, they rock. they stomp shit. the tips are lower than motherships but they aren't any lower than scratch BC's, which no one ever complains about. ADDITIONALLY, their flex and width allows them to get on top of the snow quite well. ADDITIONALLY, the sidecut isn't any more really than the skis you're recommending.

seth pistol: 128-95-118

mothership: 127-97-117

scratch bc: 122-90-115

elizabeth: 140-110-138

look at the difference between the tip width and the tail width: about 3 cm for every ski. pistols and scratch's actually have even more than 3cm. the liz doesn't hook up in powder, it's just very easy to control and quick edge to edge. it goes straight just fine too.

they're also a MUCH better all mountain ski than motherships. the flex and sidecut fucking ARC on groomers and eat up crud conditions for lunch, much better than my motherships ever could. don't let people who haven't ridden a ski dissuade you from getting it.

^and seeing as how people are recommending motherships, i thought that i would share that having owned both skis, the elizabeth's have been a sicker pow ski for me. that's all, no worries. the other skis are sick too, he just shouldn't discount liza's if he wants something sick and versatile.

The elizabeth's are too short for pow, I'm telling you guys reverse side cut is where it's at for pow, Spatulas, 120-125-115. It makes sense, same as a waterski, same as a surf board. They're so smooth and your tips never ever hook. I'm waiting for a snowboard to get designed the same way, it would be the best feeling on snow on a deep day, and i don't even board.

 
If your willing to splurge and have a different pair of skis for the less deep days get the prophet 130s. if you have 1000 dollars you can afford them. If you don't have a ski for the non pow days though I would probably get somthing like mother ships or maybee even as fat as the seth vicious. No fatter than the seths though

I would recommend Salomon S-Lab guns (they only come in 188 though so if your a midget look elsewhere) They are made in salomons race room and are super sick skis.

Also Rossignol b4Bandits (essentially last years b3's) are a sick all mountain powder ski, only drawback is the back twin is a little weak for switch landings n such (but who gives a shit)

Or just go with the staple Gotamas, I've only known one person who hated them. He called them "Slowtamas" he said the bases were fucking garbage.

There's so many good pow skis out there and with 1000 bucks to blow might as well just find one with dimensions, sizing, flex and graphics you like and go for it, they are all fun.

i would pick up one of the smaller companies boards...the ninthwards, C-notes, and surface pow skis are all rad...i have skied the liberty and ninthward and liked them way better than the vicious'....if your not too hardcore than it might be a price/graphic decision...but i would ski on as many of the small companies as you can and get what fits you best
