Need PARK binding advice quick: PX12 vs Marker 12.0 free

Hey guys, so I was set on getting a pair of Marker 12.0 free bindings for my afterbangs, but the more I read into it the more people seem unhappy with them. It seems they are prone to pre-releasing because of the biometric toe piece, and the quality of them in general isn't too great. I'm not expecting anything top of the line because I'm looking for a cheap binding to get the job done. I stumbled upon PX12 jibs for cheaper than the markers and they seem to solve all the complaints, but the pair of PX12's are almost a pound heavier than the markers.

I'm just looking for something that will perform in the park the best and is lightweight, but is the added weight of the PX12 worth it? Is there a better park binding I'm overlooking? I've got the Markers on hold and was going to get 'er done on Saturday, so any help would be awesome!

i dont really know much about bindings but i have marker 12 free for three seasons now. they are in almost perfect condition and tehy have never prereleased. they do seem a little heavy but idk

So I caved and just bought the PX12 jibs, with the discount code and shipping and tax and everything it came to $85 on my card, like hell can I say no to that! The Markers would have been $119 + tax. If anyone's looking, evogear.com has the deal for the PX's. I really hope the weight isn't going to ruin my setup here, just have to see how it goes.

you should be fine with the px12s, i have rossi sas 120s and they are more or less the same. dont worry about the weight, once you start skiing more with the px12s, you wont notice it

PX12s are a good binding. They're really not that heavy, and I've never really cared myself how heavy bindings/boots/skis etc are.

I have afterbangs with the 12 free bindings and they are holding up really good! Dont have any other complaints than that the shell fell of on one of the toe pieces but they are nice.

Don't worry dude, you should be happy with the PX 12s. Rossi stlye binders have treated me well.

I don't see why people care about binding weight so much. the only thing it effects is how heavy the skis are when you are carrying them. Does not effect swing weight at all, its basically underfoot.
