Need Opinions on East Coast Skis

A little background on me -

The last two seasons I road the crap out of 2013 Surface Double Time 180s... Loved those skis to death, but I'm up to 9 edge cracks and I basically need to re-wax the bases every other time I ski. For any amount of fresh snow, I have 2013 Jeffery's that I love to charge around on.

This is my first season on the East Coast, and I'm looking for something to replace the Double Times. I need something that I can haul ass on and depend on, something on the stiffer side like the double times. I'll be in the park maybe 25% of the time, but only because I'm growing to like natural jibs more.

I'm leaning toward Moments right now. Thinking about the Tahoe, but not sure how they would be in the park (also a bit too directional for me). I demoed the Vice's two seasons ago and loved them. Not sure if the Frakenski would be the stiff 'all mountain' skinny ripper I would need them to be (also would love to hear some insight on the mullet rocker).

I'm not 100% committed on going with Moments. Looking forward to hearing your input.

Thanks all

I would definitely look into the k2 shreditor series. I'm pretty sure the 92 took over the recoil which is a fairly stiff ski but can still be playful.

ALSO if i wouldn't have hit enter....

I had the chance of trying out some volkl walls which were actually really fun to ski if you are going to only be doing park.

Where have you spent the majority of your time skiing? The east is a unique place to ski compared to skiing out west. With this in mind your daily driver is going to be very different than what you are use to if you are from the west.

Also your weight would be helpful to know. If you are 200lbs a super soft noodle like the line blend would be a horrible choice for you and would washout a ton for you.

I've spent the last 5 years skiing in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, with typically a week or two out west each year. Last season MT Bohemia got around 350" and it was mostly powder days - not expecting a season like that out here. This year I'll mostly skiing upstate NY (Gore and Whiteface) and at least a handful of days in VT.

I'm 150lb 5"10, but I'm not a huge fan of noodle skis. I rarely do slow speed jibbing. I like to haul ass and be a danger to others :) Thanks man! That's all well needed info that I left out.

And to the first reply - I love K2 skis. I have a pair of revivals that came before the double times (3 or 4 years old?) and I beat the piss out of those, and they still don't even have an edge crack... awesome construction and I like the flex on those, but they feel like cinder blocks on your feet. I'd have to demo a K2 before going back.

Theyve actually gotten a lot lighter in my opinion.
