Need opinions....no money

OK, I did my dream this year. I moved out to Summit County, am currently living on my friend's floor, and I am moving into an apartment next week. I already got a job at Keystone, but i am still short on money, like I don't have any. I need an opinion by someone who has ridden a specific ski on whether it is a good ski. I need a fat ski (at least 78 under foot) that will work in and out of bounds, backcountry and maybe a bit of park. Opinions on the Skogens or Pollards? Elan M666, Seth Pistol, New PRs, Armadas, Volkl Karmas, etc.

Many of the pros who ride on the seth pistols say that they are soft enough for park and they work dreams out in the backcountry, have you thought of the Head Mojos at all? Im not sure how well they would work in the park

hey up here in summit we demo everthing! thats what you have to remember, go around to all of the shops and see what they have for sale, i got last years scratc fs for 300 with the scratch 140 binding the had 4 days on them. also check out what mountian sports outlet in dillon has on sale, the people there are good people and sometimes will hook a strugleing ski bum up!

I have skied everything that you mentioned and basically everything in the category you would be looking at. In my opinion, the Volkl Karma may be the best all around ski ever made. I was able to spend a few days on it last year and if I only skied one ski, the Karma would be it. Extremely strong, light ski, 87 underfoot, bomber construction, and the turning radius is perfect in my opinion. They hold tight on ice for a fat ski and float very well in the pow. Hey dude. I have a pair of Pocket Rockets and I think they kick ass, though I've never ridden the Pistols. They aren't that great on icy snow, but if you're in SC you shouldn't have too many problems with that (i.e. you're not ridin' on the EC). Find a person who is sponsored by Salomon and ask them to purchase a pair of skis via the 'Salomon Hookup' Web site. They get all Salomon/Bonfire gear for 70% off. My girlfriend bought me a pair of Rockets last year for Xmas. I know that sounds diff. but I assume you're willing to make it work, seeing as you're a poor ass. lol.

Seriously though: the PRs are sweet skis. They are light (Spaceframe tech) and fat enough to get er done. Plus, there is a reason Salomon sells so many skis: they rule. Alright, good luck with your dream. I'm jealous. Peace

the mojos are better than the madtrix in park, i tried heath ordways at camp and theyre so nice, and i hate my madtrix, go with MOJOS or MO ship flights

^^ yeah, if you can get a hold of them i know some of the team riders up there are sponsored by salomon, like wendy fischer, shes coolie, shell hook you up if not just ask somone else.

 
Buy some 7-year old, 160cm Atomic PowderKings (you know the ones), make 'em twin with a blowtorch and some rivots, mount em 1cm back from the new center and you got yourself some free, fat, soft twins for less than 50 bucks! Paint that shit black, stick some snowboard company stickers on 'em, clearcoat, mount, ski with the latest ninja steeze and impress all the purdy ladiees. Save your money so you can work less and ski more. Much better spent than on some brand new skis.
