I am looking at getting a new setup midway through the season. I have gotten a couple pairs of salomon 1080's for the last couple years but was wondering what was looking good this season.

I am 5'11" 155 pounds

advanced skier (18 years of skiing)

I will mainly use them for all mountain groomers/moguls/and a lot of park

give us some more info dude. where do you ski? how do you like your skis?? you like them soft or stiff / wide or narrow? there's tons of options out there you just need to narrow it down and i'm sure lots of people here will post some helpful info.

I had the 2004 1080's 161cm 4 years ago, now I am skiing the 06/07 1080 foils 166cm. I like how both of the skis rode but I wanted to see what else was out there. I ski the east coast, Hunter mountain every weekend with some trips to vermont and out west mixed in. I need a good park ski that doesnt suck all mountain

i had two different pairs of the salomon foils a pair of the 06s and a pair of the 07's this year im rockin the thalls they are super sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should check out the Surface Watch Life in 170 or 180 (I'm 5'10" and ride the 180), by far the best park/all mountain ski I have ever ridden. This ski kills it everywhere; park, pow, crud, groomers, I have not thrown anything at this ski that it has not been able to handle.

Check it out at http://surfaceskis.com

i got the 06/07 rossi scratch fs wrs and its alot of fun in the park lightweight and great pop..overall just a great ski, and wont kill your budget

You need a way longer ski im like 5 6 and im rockin a 176 and the are sick. with your heigt u want something in the high 170's low 180's. if ur skiing mainly park get them center mounted for sure it makes ur life a hell of alot easier. my personal choices for skis would prolly be 4Frnt Stl or armada ar6 (if ur an agressive skier) If ur not as agressive with ur weight the line invaders but if ur agressive ull tear those to shit. its all about ur personal preference. it also depends on how much moey ur willin to fork out.

I am an aggressive skier so the invaders are out. I dont want to go center mounted cause I

ski about 50% park and 50% all mountain. I have been fine with my 166

because a longer ski is gonna be harder to move quick in a tight bump

line. But I am still open to suggestions on sizing. My next pair are probably gonna be in the 170 range tho, cant hurt to see how they ride. I wish I could say price wasnt an issue but I'll still spend whatever it takes for the right ski. thanks for the ideas so far

here's a couple of park skis (not symmetrical, so no centermounting) that will kill it everywhere: line chronics, line blends, dynastar trouble makers, volkl bridges (all on the stiffer side too).

This is what my choices are down to now:

Armada AR6 176cm

Boone Magic Sticks 82mm waist 175cm

Salomon 1080 171cm

Line Chronic 171cm

all of em 08/09

Any thoughts?

Dude you should go with either the chronics or the K2 extremes which are very similar skis made by the same company. The extreme is more all mountain oriented like the PE and the chronic is softer and more of a park ski but they are both pretty similar skis. and they both rip pretty hard
