Hey guys I really want to get a new music producing program for OS X. I am looking for Reason or

something comparable. I am tiger still, and don't have pro app support, so logic pro is a no go...

So please, would any one burn me a dvd (with key) of such a program in return for some paypal cash and karma?

Torrents have proved worthless...

Thank you!

P.M me !

i have reason 4 on dvd with a keygen but i feel its windows only... i'm not sure though, i haven't tried it on a mac. i'll test it out to see if it works on a mac for you.

My buddy just bought Logic Pro 8 for OS X, its definitely a sweet program for pro recording. Theres some older versions on ebay for relatively cheap, I donno what fits your price range.

actually, justice uses garageband, so i wouldnt talk shit about it. you gotta work with what you got. and it helps to have boundaries. Logic for Macs is very popular so look for that. then try reason. you might also wanna check ableton. look on torrent sites of course.

reason is a good program but logic is definitely a step up. try and get logic if you can. and i find that comment about justic and garageband hard to believe^ anything to back that up?

Pro tools is one, or you can also get Logic express or logic studio by apple. i havent tried them out, but they are good softwarez

Pm me I have good torrent or RS links for Reason 4.0 or 3.0.

If you have a midi keyboard or controller, I strongly suggest Reason, it has a amazing variety of instruments and a good sequencer (if you want to use the sequencer capabilities of Cubase or Ableton you can "rewire" Reason to these programs - pm me if you wanna know more about this) .

That's what I use and it's great (gotta look up the tutorials on the web though)

If you have no hardware, I suggest you use Acid Pro 6 (easy to find on torrents), it's simple to use yet powerful (works with the sample drag and drop system).

Cubase Sx3 alone is good too, but you'll have to download some VSTi (virtual instruments) if you wanna have a good variety of sounds. (The good thing with Reason is that it comes with plenty of good VSTi) ... you could also use Reason in slave mode with Cubase Sx3 (or other) acting as the sequencer but don't start with that.

So my verdict is: If you have hardware: Reason 4.0

If not: Acid Pro 6

Ah and yeah try the demo version of Fruity Loops ... I don't like it but it's personal preference ... it's a legit program though MSTRKRFT, 9th Wonder (and Soulja Boy lol) use it.

Final word: No matter what program you use, just master it and you'll make some good music...

Damn I hope I was clear on this .. Pm me if you have some questions

fruity loops is more directed to hip hop. and from what i've read from people using it, it kinda blows. and MSTRKRFT does not use fruity loops AT ALL. they use Pro Tools, which you should also look into.

hey my buddy that works at gutiar center just burned me a copy of reason 4 for macs. once i get it installed on mine i can send it your way

The guy doesn't have Pro app support and Reason is good for hip-hop production if you use it with Recycle (sampling software). I may be wrong with the MSTRKRFT thing but I was pretty sure the MSTRKRFT remix of D.A.N.C.E. was made with Fruity Loops library sounds so I assumed they used it.

haha thats funny.

I have reason 4 and logic pro and to be honest reason is a great program but after you get familiar with it it seems very limited compared to logic pro. Yes reason is super easy to learn and make quick stuff but if you want really high quality output and a lot more options i would pay the extra cash for logic

Great post man thank you so much...I will PM after I write this.

Also thanks to everyone who replied! I thought this thread was dead haha, I just randomly checked M+A... And to the gentleman who said he could send me a copy, thank you so much, but I will try the torrent from this guy first, and if it doesnt work Ill let you know.
