sup im 16 and currently skiin is my life...i think of better ways to spin all day in school, and the better ways to grind and all...idk if i should go to college, because i dont feel thats the right path for me...i want to ski...and thats it...i was wonderin if this has happened to anyone else here, and if they could give me some advice...also, i was wondering, truly how hard is it to make it at all in the industry... thank you

I was thinking the same thing. Do i really wanna go to college? You could do something for the resort during the winter and then find something to do over the summer. I dont wanna waste money on something I wont use

thats exactly what im thinkin...why spend my whole damn life tryin to make money and just die...ill rather have a lil money and ski and be happy...my dad was tellin me the net worth diff. and i was like..." so work my whole life just so i can say im a higher net worth than some other guy??" im not like that...i just want to ski...and thats all...i dont want to sit in an office all day...im pretty sure i would kill myslef within 3 years....idk what to do though

Do everyone a favor and just go work in an office. I mean youre NOT GOING TO SPPORT YOURSELF WITH JUT SKIING HOLY CRAP! Just go na dget a job and be normal

be creative man. you will never manage to make a living and ski as much as you want if you have to ask other people how you should do it. get some idea's going in your head and work like a dog in the summer so you go tenough cash to geet a meal or two so you dont go hungry. l

I agree with him normal is gay. Normal is get outta high school then hit up college or uni then spend a few years with super shitty jobs tryin to pay off your student loan while all the time your trying to find a wife who more then likely you'll divorce, but before you do, have several kids whom you need to support until they're 18 once that is done you can finally retire which for most people means get ready to die and a large percentage of people day within 5 years of retirement.

Now It would be nice to have a fuck load of money and shit but no point havin it if you cant have fun

i agree 100%...dude..if you love skiin so much you would have np lookin stuff up and what not...i know im not goin to college..im a junior in hs... and im spendin the rest of my life skiin and havin a good time...thats for sure...

good luck to ya tho

goto Colorado Mountain College and take the "SKi Area OPerations" or somehting like that. If you wanna be skiiing all your life. Or somehting. idk jsut a thought

ummmk

not to be a douchebag b at 16 if all you can do is 270 out and shit you wont mske money from skiing

need a place to say, lets say SHIT apartment, $500 a month, liftie wont really net you enough money for the lifestyle if you dont work in the summer

winter: dont work

summer: you have to work your ass off and be smart with your money

soo lets say

$6000/year rent

$1000 a year food

pass/ $500ish a year

$7500/year before gas and skis

its really not that easy of a lifestyle.

and at 16 your hardly old enough to decide what your life will entail

^^^ Way to be a downer man.

If you wanna ski, then ski! Get a mountain job in the winter, that'll get you your pass and discount gear every year, plus enough money to cover most of your basic living expenses. Do weekend ski school or something, and work your way up. You could also pick up a night job on top of it if you need to. UPS has amazing benefits. Who cares if you go pro? Then pick up a landscaping/construction/painting job in the summers and work your ass off. Voila! You have skiing for the rest of your life. Just don't let shit get in the way of what you wanna do.

Go to college and jsut take a light winter semester, like night classes and or class only on tues and thurs. I'm gonna end up with like 80 days this year, while getting 15 credits this semester.

i was thinkin about that coldorado thiing....take several night calsses, just so i can actually get a degree thatll support what i want to do...hmmmmm

this is your best bet. works pretty well for kids here at the U. and you deff don't wanna go to school in the summer, noone does.
