Need help with texts

Ok so I have virgin mobile and about 2hours ago my phone randomly stopped recieving texts. The battery was on low so I thought i should charge it and when I did still nothing happened. So i get on facebook chat and AIM and tell people to txt me and they said that they sent but I never got them. I can send texts and everything but I can't recieve them.

Has anyone ever had this happen and can offer some advice?

I have tried restarting it, restoring it, and taking out the battery

and I called their customer service but it fucking blows and i could never get through to a real person

oh and i forget to add my brother, who has the same phone, can send and recieve shit and whenever he texts me it works and same with facebook mobile

(yes we have the same phone its the only cool cheap phone virgin mobile has)
 
it could just be that u cant recieve out of service texts, id try customer service again, if that fails go to the store and bitch about it they'll prbly give u a new phone
 
no i was recieving them earlier today from the same people I dunno and I bought the phone from radioshack

if I go back and bitch will they gimme another phone?
 
i dont know what virgin mobile is like, but maybe, using what the person above me stated, t-mobile has it, or your plan has it, so that once you;ve used up all the texts for out of service, instead of charging you a shtload for receiving texts that you might not want, they just dont let you get them
 
well i was giving reason to why if that is the case, that he ran over his limit like the 200 messages they give you or something

^^but sending texts is what costs $$$ not recieving, plus they wouldnt stop u cause they would want to charge u more for overages

^^^radioshack prbly wont go to a virgin mobile store, whenever i have a prblm with my phone(verizon) i just go to the store and they usually replaced it for free or took a bunch of cash off an upgrade. just explain whats wrong and if they cant fix it then they will prbly replace it, thats how most ppl at the stores do it, not just for verizon but for other brands too
 
i have unlimited texts and i dunno im charging my phone now maybe the battery is what was wrong with it

but i can still get texts from facebook

wrong for sprint it cost 10 cents sending/recieving texts after you go over texting depending on how many texts you have in your plan. Say you have 500 monthly texts then the recieved texts count as well. Yeah bone me in the ass cuz that shits gay!
 
ouch...never had that prblm, i guess its just with sprint cause none of my friends have that problem, then again sprint sux balls in MN.
