NEED HELP WITH SWITCH SPINNING

^^both^ of you two kids are fucking cocks. You have no right to bitch about him not using the search bar if you took the time to reply to the thread.

when i spin switch its the oppostite of my normal spin. i spin to the right normal and to the left switch. it was just more comfortable for me that way. so id say try spinning opposite and practice alot at it

i just learned this like last week, I just throw my shoulders the same way i look when riding switch and then i keep my head turned untill i get as much spin as i need

try and throw a punch into an imaginary wall thats like behindish you, the wall is perpendicular to the lip

wouldn't it be that way for everyone since your going opposite of the way u normally take off? or am i completely misunderstanding you?

about the staggering.... do you mean carve into the lip?

i can only half cab and its like a hit or miss with under or over rotating for me.

come into the jump with a staggered stance and then right at the lip widen your stance and pop and bring your shoulders around with you

yea start ur feet kinda apart then when you go off the lip bring em together and look around ur shoulder

i would say that u shouldn tbring them together tho, like have on foot leading the other as u bgin you spin in the air.

you'll wanna come in with your left foot back a little bit more than your right foot if spinning to the left(vice versa for sw right)the biggest thing about switch takeoffs is your patience on the lip, make sure you dont pop too early so it'll allow you to clear your tails and geta clean takeoff. from there its all about how hard you set it to get the desired rotation. (i think someone said try punching behindish you, which is really good tip) so going on that get your right arm to punch across your chest and behind you while poping. and thats pretty much it, oh yeah lots of repetition.

i keep on hearing that, why not to spin too early? and that tanner hall tip on the podcast for a cab 5...he said the same cuz ull catch a tip? explain please

like when you spin to early off the jump you still got your tips to clear, trust me you dont wanna hook a tip spinning sw off a kicker, or anything of that matter, it can only end up ina bad time. thats why its so important to be patient and wait for the top of the lip to pop perfect example here.

if you see in the first few frames I'm still kinda at 90/180 thats to ensure you have a smooth takeoff then from there its on how you wrap up your spin.

when i do i switch spin i spin right..so when i ski switch i look over the left shoulder, so that way all you gotta do is pop and spin and not have to prewind so much, but i did mine off small jumps first

you my friend are a faggot. that wasnt remotely funny and also i dont even see the point in getting all pissy because someone didnt use the searchbar. who the fuck cares if someone makes a thread about the same topic someone made like a year ago? new threads keep this forum alive so quit being such a bitch, if you dont like a thread dont fucking read it.

that was a great explanation...i think my biggest problem with switch is getting the fuckin sack to do it, and then the second biggest issue i have is patience. good call.

most people just start spinning to early, and don't pop nearly enough, so just make sure to be patient and don't start spinning until you fully pop

more importantly is that ass actualy took the time of being an ass instead of taking a second to hit the back button on his browser...

ok so heres how you spin switch, start of small, and start to learn switch 180 and work up. so when you come up to the lip switch you need to be looking over the over you're sholder looking the way you are gonna spin, so once you hit the lip pop hard and continue looking over you're sholder and start to rotate you're hips and body. thats basical it, and work you're way up to bigger spins.

i asked my friend this question today and he just said that it get easier the more you do it and it takes a lot of practice

Probably the most important thing in learning switch tricks would be the pop. If you know how to spin forward, spinning backward (in terms of what you do with your shoulders) is relatively the same, but popping on switch hits is a totally different experience that you need to master, then practice a shitload in order to begin progressing. For me, the key to this technique is your left foot. When you come in switch, scissor the left foot a little ahead of right until you get to the end of the lip. Then, initiate your spin with your shoulders and put about 60-70% of your weight onto the left foot as you're about to leave the lip. Once almost airborne, pop off that foot (bringing the right foot along with you) and simultaneously pull your knees in toward your chest. From this point on, spin like you normally do, using your head and shoulders to guide your rotation to your desired degree (3, 5, 7, 9, etc.) and stomp. Sounds really complicated, but if you practice these fundamentals, it should just mesh into one fluid motion that will make switch hits as smooth as forward ones.

do you look over the shoulder in the direction you spin? Spinning switch is easier for me because its not blind, but i have a friend that looks over his right shoulder when riding switch and spins left. lets just say he sometimes has some problems doing it.

well I gotta say Mr. thread maker didn't exactly put much effort into explaining what's giving him trouble. Maybee give us a bit of explination as to whats happening and people will be able to help out a lot better

When you ski switch you should look over one shoulder. just throw your hands and shoulders and rotate a 1 to the way you look and it should just naturally come around

i can only get to 3 switch everytime of go for a five i get all excited and pop wierd and catch my toe edge on the lip..but getting past 180 wasnt that hard for me because i do alot of switch tail butta 3s

Not gonna lie when I do it I only stagger my feet coming in to the jump but when Im on the lip actually about to start the spin my feet are slightly to no stagger at all.
