ight hers the deall, my buddy has a sik like 12 foot square metal rail, we dont get much snow in ontario canda so when it comes down its only here for a bit, this is why i need help quickly, k so the problem is the rail is rusted. simply enough right, so whuts the fastest n most effiecient way to fix this? i heard grinding the rail and painting it is the best way but other then that i need hellp gettin this thing going so we can jib a bit... any advice at all is helpfull thanks... for instance waxing? does it work whut kidn of wax, etc

grind that sucker down, and a think coat of paint helps

wax isisnt REQUIRED but it will help

just use pretty much and rub on you can find

Belt-sander, and strip the rail of rust, and enjoy.

If no access to a belt-sander, bust out the elbow grease and sandpaper.

fuck im feelin that sand paper idea might take a while but should spray paint on top of that? or no? just like it sandid down

After it's sanded you can paint it, but it's not needed. It will help keep it from rusting in the future as I'm guessing it's not stainless.

just take an old ski and run it along the rail for awhile like you were grinding it. do it for like 20 minutes and you should be good to go

probably the best idea, and easiest. if you have a large file, that will help too, just make sure after you file you slide a ski on it a bunch of times too

yeah thats what i did once my rail got rusty... i just took a lerge metal file and got some of the rust off with that then i just used an old ski and waxed it after. its perfect now. paint is def a good idea if you going to hit it again once u get more snow after this.

sikkk deall thanks for the tips guys, when u run ur skiis on it after that the one dude ^^ said wax it with wut? whut kinda waxx, that was a main question i had?

this could be a big noob statement but

painting the rail would help it slide? i always thought that it would make it sticker and harder to hit..

LIke everyone said, sand it down to slippery smooth bare metal. But don't paint it, it'll just scrape of anyway. Shoot it with some WD-40 and keep a layer of that on there to keep it from rusting instead.

WD-400 stuff. - maybe sand if possible or take a metal razor scooter to it (thats what I do with my skate rail)

Do not paint!

check around you or your buddies garage for a drill and one of these... its like filing it down but it goes on the end of a drill and its muchhh faster/more effective

yeah sand that down and then lay down a good layer of rustolium paint, stuff works amazing; then wax it a lot like people said

or you could just hit it

it'll be sticky but after a couple hits should be fine

if its still sticky slowly add some regular candle wax

but only a little bit at once because it will get pretty slick fast

i dont think they want to hit it right away because the rust will get on the skis and what not they want to avoid the rust

if you leave the edges of your skis wet after skiing they rust and it comes off within the first couple runs i dont think its a biggie but if you got like a wire brush or a wire sanding disk on the end of a drill that would work too

im thinkin the sand it down idea no paint cuz peeps r sayin no paint n im lazyy n shit dont wanna wait for it to dry so i might run an old pair of skiis across it for a bit, it should runn prime thanks for all the tips ill let u know whut worked best,
