I want to really dial down switch stuff this year but my problem is I always seem to spin off to early, but when I go off too late I don't have the spinning ability to get past a switch 3...anyone have any tips or exercises they do while on the inrun to make sure they don't catch a tip?

I mean I'm popping too early then I guess...maybe there is no other help than just go out and do it but if there is something then I'd like to know

spin later.

but seriously, i have the same problem, i was told to kinda start the spin with my body while at the end of the jump, then when you know you are just about off the lip, do a little pop and your legs will catch back up with your body, then keep looking over your shoulder, there arent any decent jumps yet, so i havent really been able to try it.

im learning switch stuff also. what helped me learn is to carve off the lip can pop you cork but itll deff help you get the roatation around.
well that worked for me. idk bout the rest of NS

one reason i see alot of people catching switch is because they dont stagger their feet enough and dont get in a great position to pop. really look over your shoulder, stagger your feet, and get low. the pop should come fairly easily with that advice.

stand with your skis on flat snow and act like your going into a jump switch. Pop hard and do a 90. do this like 20 times. This should help your body remember the motion of popping while initiating a rotation. Also maybe try to get a little more flex in your knees coming in switch. this can give you more room to get a little extra pop then say if your legs were locked or more up right.
