when i turn on my other computer this black page comes on that says:, either my computer was turned off in the wrong way, or it shut itself off to protect my files and folders. you can either turn it on with the last known good cofiguration, normal start up, or safe mode, safe mode with networking or safe mode with command prompt. ive tried all ways but if it gets to the windows loading screen thing, it turns off. please help!

windows is screwed up or worse your hard drive is failing. if you have a windows disk you can reinstall windows or do a repair of windows

You should have one that came with your computer. You're computer might also be broken beyond repair if it is a hardware problem that is causing a loop.

It usually comes with any home computer you order such as gateway or dell. Most of the time it is a disk used for backup incase windows crashes or you choose to wipe your hardrive. Try checking in all the papers and look CD's you got when you bought your computer, should be there. You can also buy any Window's XP disk at Best Buy either family or home edition but its really expensive, ranges from 100-300$.

Anyways, to answer the question about the screen, there is probably a corrupt file in your c:/windows/system32 folder. Usually caused by a virus or accidently deleting important documents. Easiest way to fix it is to go into safe mode and follow these instructions:
