Need help with my 3s and 1s. (With Video)

So, today i tried 1s and 3s on the normal kicker for the first time.

My 1s do not really look clean, but they feel kinda safe (i never failed one on ~15 tries) but there is def. a lot of room for improvement.

On the 360 i always land back seated, i had this problem before and don't really know what else to change.

I try to get a good pop and i feel like on the video it looks like i'll land it correctly, but in the last moment, i get toally backseated.

Also got to note, that i was a bit slow and did not have too much air time

What can i do to not land so backseated? Maybe send bigger?

First clip is from my 1s, then 3s and the last one is actually from my very first attempt on doing a 3.

Hope you can give me some tipps on what I'm doing wrong.

When you’re coming over the lip of the jump set your weight more forward. You’re getting some pop but it seems to be from your heels. Get your upper body over top of your toes.

it also looks like in slow motion you’re reaching your legs out for the landing at about 270. Stay tight and tucked through the whole spin and when you finally get around then start to extend the landing gear.

Also just keep practicing. Do them off anything and everything and eventually it’ll become second nature.

Thanks for the replys so far.

I thought about that. In some video it's said "pressure on your shins", so maybe i just need to pop up more forward with pressure on my front ski.

I will def. try this tomorrow! Thanks

Always make sure you are perpendicular to your skis at takeoff.

Other than that it just looks like you're not putting enough energy into the 360, of course spinning as hard as you can won't end up looking cool, but I think your major issue is just in the pop.

Just adding a bit more to what everyone else said.

Your leading hand when u spin is slowing down your rotation (you're dabbing) and you're is looking at your feet. Your point of view should be parallel to your body i.e. u should look forward.

Watch Jake Muller's video on how to 360 because his tips with the T set will def help.

Keep in mind for 3s, u don't need to use your arms to swing the rotation, have a strong pop and make sure your whole body rotates and u will make the full rotation. Hope this helps!

Two things to help with landing backseat -

like someone else said, more shin pressure so your weight transfers to the landing of the jump when you pop

and T-set your rotation. Your arms in the video aren't helping your rotation as one is up and the other is down which is pulling your rotation off axis when it's coming around. T-set's may look dumb at first but they teach you to rotate from your pop and not swinging your arms, I had the exact same problem as you and T-set's fixed it in one day, then once you get the feeling of the rotation you can put your arms down and look normal lol.

Also - if you have access to a tramp, just practice doing perfect balanced 360's where you get a smooth rotation and land perfectly square - this helps a lot with the feeling of rotating in the air.

Try that out and you'll be stomping three's by the end of the morning.

As said above, it's mostly due to leaning back slightly on the lip of the jump. Put your weight a little more forward and keep your rotation smooth and balanced. Also make sure you're spinning enough because underotating a spin can lead to a sorta unintentional but instinctive leaning back.
