Need Help with Grabs

Is there a certain way you take off the jump to do a grab while spinning? Ive had a really hard time learning how to do a simple safety with a 360. Please help

The way i got it down was just running and jumping holding one foot to my leg. Also my school has a shit tone of stair so i would jump from the second step and hold one foot (A mute Grab) other then that you have to go of a larger jump which help tremendously

When you take off keep your regular 360 form like normal. When you get to 180 or a little bit before you start your grab. I like to tuck my knees up a little when i do a safety. Hold your grab until you get all the way around to 360 or until you get close to landing.

The key to doing grabs in any sport is that you can't reach down to grab, rather you should lift you knees up to bring your feet to your hands. I find tail grabs the easiest since bending the knees brings the tail of your ski to where your hand is, and you don't have to contort yourself to get the grab.

Practice doing your 360s with you legs bent and your knees up as high as you can get them. Getting comfortable doing this (i.e. doing it without flailing) will make getting the grab very easy.

exactly

moving your legs up in pretty much any way is gonna change your axis and moving them back will set you back on your original axis. like someone above me said set your spin before you reach to grab

just be patient. Wait until you are at at least 180 then tuck up and keep looking. Might feel not get at first but keep trying

Hit the nail on the head here. Also super important that you are really comfortable with the trick you are grabbing on. Its much easier to grab when the trick is already second nature. Because then you just automatically can do the spin, and focus a little more of your attention on bringing your knees up and grabbing with your hand. If you aren't solid on the trick first, its way too much for your brain to handle trying to do both and you will likely end up going off axis, stalling your spin, or any number of other less than optimal outcomes

next time you're at a jump try doing 4 or 5 360's with sucking your knees into your chest. don't even think about a grab just focus on the knees in the chest. once you're comfortable with that, all you gotta do is reach your hand down there and you'll start grabbing! like mentioned above you gotta be patient and WAIT UNTIL YOUR'E AT 180 TO START GRABBING. i can't put enough emphasis on that haha.

When doing a 360 grab I find the best way is when your at 180 grab then 270 let go and then land.

Homie gave you the handbook you better use it.
