i was wondering how much your backyard set-ups were, what you used, the cost, and how well it all works. $100 is my budget maybe a little more.

This all depends on what rails you want to do. the cheapest would be pvc, I built a 20ft shotgun for like 30 bucks. if you want to hit your rail during the winter i would recomend buying the grey electrical pvc (it shatters less). also your setup will work the best if you can put it (especially the rail) on a gentle down slope. As for surface that green shit sucks it slides ok, it is the cheapest though, i used powder pak (much more expensive) and i works much better than the green turf. Good luck and hope that I was helpful.

the problem is $100 is not that much when you are trying to make a set up. A good sturdy 6' high with an 8' long ramp is going to cost close to $180. And that is before fuel prices this the moon.

i got:

10 foot long metal pole/2 inches wide-$10

2 inch PVC 90 degree elbows (2)-$1.86

2x10 pipes (2)-$8

square cinderblock with 2 inch hole in middle (2)-$10

total:$29.86

as for now its step on but ill make an in-run later and set it up better. it's fun though and I set it up on a slight down grade as recommended and its working fine.

I disagree, wood isnt that expensive. The most expensive piece of wood you buy is going to be the plysheet you use for the ramp. 2x4s are about $2 for a 10ft length.

I dont want to get into a pissing contest. I have built one and that is what it cost me. Like I said its sturdy...and came from plans some on this site was nice enough to post.

I spent about $60 on a 20' long double barrel rail that is ~18" high and another $60 on a 5' drop in with an 8' ramp, except I fucked up when building it.
