Need Help! Rendering Problems in Sony Vegas Pro 9

So my friend is editing a video in Sony Vegas Pro 9 that we did for a school project. Everytime we try and render the clips so we can make a DVD it says "system is too low on memory" and then it ends the program. Its only a 9 minute movie and he has 84GB free of 284GB. We have tried every format. when converting to wmv codecs are "missing". The computer is an hp pavillion dv6 (has 6gb of ram).

You may have to change the amount of available rendering threads in the preferences.. if no maybe re-install? I had that problem once a long time ago but forget how I fixed
 
i had the same problem. was looking for an answer on internet and tried everything and found nothing. NOTHING!!!! i had to use sony vegas 10 movie studio plationum and i have no problem...
 
ok solution to your problem. First off boost your ram by using flash drives youtube itsecond right click my computer then go to properties now select advanced system settings go to optimize for performance and select optimize for best performancebam worked for me I have windows seven btw
