NEED HELP PICKING OUT ALL MTN/POW SKIS

I am looking for a good pair of decently fat all mtn skis that can handle some pow that are fun an playful. I mostly ski park so I don't really know what is good for all mtn/pow skis. I am currently looking at the jeffrey 114 and the shreditor 112, I am also open to other options as well.
 
I am 6'2" 200 lb, I would consider myself advanced but not expert and I live on the east coast but would like to use these skis on the west coast when I do go out there
 
First option, Deathwish. 112 underfoot, triple camber, will be wide for an east coast ski but will hold up on ice, crush it in powder. On the softer, fun riding side (in comparison to option three).

Second option, PB&J. 101 underfoot, will float on the west coast but not terribly wide for the east coast. Fun all around all mountain ski.

Third option, Belafonte. 106 underfoot, triple camber. Stiff charger ski, if that's what you're into. Will hold up in all conditions.

Thanks for the help, have you heard anything on the shreditor 112 cause there is a pretty good deal on them now

I have a friend who rides them, seems to like them. Only thing is, they are fairly soft and will get floppy at high speeds.
 
I have the Shreditor 112's (189cm) and I have like 5 days on Jeffreys.

Love both skis, but they are different. However if you told me I had to ski one ski for the rest of my life in every condition, I'd probably pick one of those two.

The K2's go on sale a lot, they are easy to get deals on. They are a little softer, but not terribly so, they're also pretty rockered and tapered. They ski reasonably short, but the 189cm is a big ski, so, for me at least, they did a good job balancing quickness and the ability to swivel, while also being able to open it up.

The ON3P's are sick. They'll offer more support and stability, they are stiffer, more cambered, less tapered and lighter. I'd say they are more versatile, and more substantial, while still being able to play, I'd put them more on the chargy end of the spectrum that the K2, but I still found them to be incredibly fun, and are way better when you are hauling in variable conditions.

It's worth noting that neither of these skis are coming back next year. The Kartel 108 / 116 and Marksman take their places.

I'm really hoping the Kartel 108 takes that ultimate do-it-all spot, but we shall see!
 
Awesome thanks for the info, that was really helpful! I may just try to see what I can get the better deal on since they will my first all mtn/ pow ski.

Also they are making a wider version of the kartel next year??

Yep. Kartel 98, 108, 116. The 108 and 116 are probably the two skis from SIA that I'm most excited about atm.
 
Huh that makes me want to wait to buy the 116, they would probably be a blast on the hill! But I am planning a big west coast trip next season and want to get a decent deal on a pair of skis
 
Check out Down Skis throwdown 110 their some of the lightest skis out there and super jibby while still being stable when you're charging.

Thanks, I remember reading about them in the fall but I couldn't find too many reviews/info on them. The look like they have a good shape and construction though

I might be a bit biased because I ride for them but they make awesome skis. Every season I have cracked my edges on every ski but this season I have zero edge cracks and the bases are perfect.

Ok, I am just looking for something playful and fun to ride. If that was the throwdown 110 are then I probably look into getting some.
 
Icelantic Nomads. Handles everything on the mtn, super playful and bouncy in powder. 105 underfoot is plenty wide to get good float, and won't sacrifice agility on the front side. They crush cliffs, and are light enough to get good air on jumps and kickers as well. May be a bit on the expensive side, but turtely worth it IMO...

I am not a atomic rep but I just LOVE Atomics skis. I currently have the Atomic Alibi, Access, bent Chetler, and am buying the new backlands (which are the new version of the automatics).

The Bent Chetlers are HUGE and Heavy but Charge and can take on anything, (if you can muscle them around)

They are all pretty damp and playful! And have TOUGH bases. Rarely have I gotten a core shot in any of them. They are tough skis!
