This year im going to be giving up snowboarding and im switching to skiing, and im not trying to be that guy but i need some help on gear.
i need the whole setup, skis, boots, bindings, and poles. but i need it to be sorta budget cause im not trying to blow all my money on this.
ive been looking atthe 2011 Line afterbangs and some liberty skis, i need these skis to be like 400 and under.
boots and bindings are more easily accesible so i wont need MUCH help on these, but tips are always welcome.
thanks bro

start here:https://newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/543628/
then use the searchbar to read about any possible skis you are interested in. there are PLENTY of online places to find skis on sale, just google:
evogearbackcountry (or the department of goods, which is the outlet)levelninesportsal's ski barn (ya, they have some good deals)
two recommendations:use demo days on the mountain to find a ski for you. DO NOT rush into buying a ski, especially with just online reviews and opinions. you'll find a million different opinions on NS about skis and how some people love, others hate them. only testing out a ski for yourself will truly tell you if it is the right ski. go demo some skis.
second, there are very good deals online for skis and bindings, use them. BUT, never ever ever buy boots off the internet. go to a bootfitter and get it done right. boots are the most important piece of equipment and if they dont fit you right then you are going to be hating life.

finally, in my opinion if you spend more then $20-30 on ski poles you're a gaper that needs to be slapped. i see polls listed for 70-100 bones, thats just retarded. find a cheap pole that feels good in your hand and use the extra cash on other equipment.
