Need help finding boots for my "large-calfed" mom

Alright so my mom has been skiing in a mens nordica size 29.0 ski boot for the past 2 seasons. Her shoe size is 10 womens. The only reason she uses these boots is because they were capable of accomodating her "large" calf size, which after measuring, came out to be 18 inches around at the top of the boot cuff. Every women's boot that she tried on wouldnt go past her ankle because her calf would not fit into the boot, so she ended up just buying this massive one.

Basically the boots she is using now are wayyy to big. Now I live in Iowa and we have NO ONE around here that knows how to fit boots properly, or that can do extreme shit to make the boot fit. What I'm wanting to know is if there are any women's specific boots, or men's boots, that would be more fitting for her foot size AND her calf size? And we will be going to Utah in November so if anyone has any reccomendations for bootfitters and/or shops to check out in SLC or PC, that would be greatly appreciated.

no offense

your mom either needs to hit the treadmill

or stop hitting the treadmill

cause those are HUGE calves

I've put a few ladies with big calfs into the old Salomon Evolution or Evolution 2, 7.0 or 8.0..it's really a case by case basis though and they are definitely old boots so not easy to come by. Could consider the Mens Salomon Performa series too. Some of the Head Edge series are fairly big around the cuff, Possibly the Nordica Beast 10..

Honestly I think the best bet would be to make some boot modifications

Haha, yeah its no surprise my mom is fat. But she also wants to ski, and I am in full support of that, but she can't ski for shit because of her boot problem, which is why I'm asking for some help. K++ for helpful answers

We fitted a guy with a 22 inch calf once, in a boot the right size for his foot. Find a good shop when you take a trip.
