Hello,

Currently I ride 169 public enemy's that are a few years old and beat to hell. I'm moving to BC this year (kootenays) and so I wanted to pick up a pair of decent skis for out there.

A local shop had a deal on for 2011 Hell Bents, problem is they're only 169. I paid 420$ tax inc.

I'm 6' and 180 pounds. Should I cancel the order and wait for a better deal on say a 179/189?

Please help! I need to cancel quick if so. I have a feeling they're going to be too short.

Thanks

im 6'1 and i would feel very wierd on skis shorter than 165....besides, when it comes to pow skis you always go bigger i think because they ride shorter, you're way too tall for 165's...but dunno, that's my oppinion

Anyway, GEAR TALK!

lolol im 5'8 and I'm a 100% park skier. i ride some 171 and they are park ski. you have to cancel that offer. you will look dumb with short ski in powpow

yo im 6'1" and i ride 171.. and i have a pair of 180. it depends at what you ride and how.

if you are in the park i rock my 17. if im riding pow i might go with my skis that are a little bit longer and wider.

thanks for the help guys, i will try to get these cancelled and move on to something else.

if i can't, anyone want a set of 169 2011 hellbents? har har. fuck.

169 is way too small for you. I'm 6'1" 190lbs and I ride 185 to 190, hell even my park skis are 182. What were you doing on 169 park skis in the first place? those were even too short for you.

side note: where in the koots you moving to?

I'm 5'10 and I've got me some 179 old generation hellbents (really 184). Would have gone for the 189s, but I was convinced by the shop tech that the float wouldn't really get any better with the 189, and the 179s are way more nimble. For a real charging ski, I'd definitely be skiing something in the mid 190s. Don' be afraid for your skis to be way taller than you when they're aggressively rockered. You should be on a 189 hellbent for sure at your height.

You're my size.

First off, much much much too small.

I'd seriously consider getting the 189s. And if you're intimidated by the length, don't be. They are going to ride shorter than they are.

Plus, with your weight, you should be able to throw them around easy peasy.
