Hye guys, I need help deciding on which frame to build up. I ride 50% freeride,20% downhill,20% djing, and 10% agressive trailriding. I have around a $2000 budget on the frame with a shock. I have been looking at a few frame, but I'm not so sure about which one to go with. I dont drop anything over 10 ft, but would like to progress. So far I've come up with a few choices. So can anyone tell me which ones are better for me, or if there are other frames i should be looking at?

Frame/Shock

Intense Uzzi VPX/Fox DHX 5.0

Santa Cruz VP Free/Fox DHX 5.0(or should i be looking at the v10 for a little more money?)

Banshee Scream/Fox DHX 5.0

Ironhorse 7point/ Progressive 5th Element

THANKS A LOT!

Get the vp free. No doubt about it.

The intense is the same as the vp free but built better, more color options, and also has 2 choices on rear shocks(probably same with vp free but not sure). Another option is the Ironhorse Sunday-Im a big fan of the frame and its built super nice with 8 inches of travel. Another option might be a complete bike such as the Norco A-Line and upgrade that a bit. Thats 8-9 inches of travel in the back and i believe 8 in the front.

My vote goes for the Sunday or Intense/vp free(if you wanna spend more go with the intense, if you wanna spend less go with the vp free)

the vp free is a good choice. i have freinds that rellly like it, it also peddles well and can take very big hits(super t dose huge shit on his). the intense is also a good choice.

both the intense and uzzi are far out of your price range. also i have a Vp-free and it doesnt peadel as well as santacruz tells you.

^ sorry i was wrong. they are both in your price range. in that case the VP-free is just about perfect for what you do.

Tough descision, I would go either VP free, or Banshee Scream. Both of those bikes are made for tough riding.

go with a hard tail. if your not dropping anything over ten feet, it wont be a big deal, and then spend the extra money on parts. if you really want a full susser, check out the norco vps six. or anything by banshee. check out www.joemamma.ca its the jibberish/d-structure of freeride, bmx, and trials biking. my buddie from work opened it up last year. super sick store.

I already have a hardtail and cant stand it for downhill.I want a full suspension.Does anyone have any experience with the cove playmate fr or g spot?

banshee bikes, or a 24. I ride basicaly the sames stuff you do, bu more downhill and DJ, and a little less freeride on a pronking and the only thing i'd change is the fork. im thinking a marzocchi 66 will make the ride perfect.

yuck, you'll be known as the pussy from this day on if you do that. Do something manly, like cut her initials into your chest or something.

ummmm lets see..... more responsive, simpler, better feel, more accuracy on skinny lines, more hardcore, more versaltility (street, djing, etc...) lighter, cheaper.

transitionbikes.com get the dirtbag. it's like a stinky dee-lux or a banshee but not as heavy and has a killer warranty check it out. it's more in your price range, not a $6000 vp free

if you have ever dhed on a hardtail u cannot possibly say that they feel better. Unless u enjoy being raped by your bike.

welp seeing that im a dirtjump addict, ive only ridden a squishy like a couple times. my bud had a orange patriot he ordered from the UK. it was pretty sweet. theyre definatly worth checkin out. now as for shocks u can get that new marzocchi single crown shock that has like 170mm of travel if u wana keep the weight down. the rockshox boxxers are wicked too.

i just got a 7point3. amazing bike. its sturdy, the travell is amazingly smooth, and the bike just has a good feel overall. the only down side is that its on the heavy side.
