Need: Help buying first longboard

never skateboarded before, though i can go straight fairly smoothly. I know i'm going to get worked at first, but that's part of learning something new.

i ride regular, 6'1 190lbs, live in Vail CO

any suggestions on what to buy?

look into loaded longboards, (particularly the dervish)such a smooth ride,very high quality,bamboo,expensive, but worth every penny...you will be able to use these boards for years.http://www.loadedboards.com/newsite_v1/

I have an arbor pin and its so great for cruising and bombing hills. I would go with a pintail to start off

i have a sector 9 longboard, it is really good quality and some fat kid in my school has the same one he is fine wiht it and he is like 200 puonds, and the board was fairly cheap, 150 from zumiez.

definitely go with Sector 9. There stuff is so quality and worth every single penny.
