it is kind of strange, but a lot of newschool skiers have the idea that it's kind of their own little thing, and they don't want it to be ruined by going completely mainstream. In some ways thats true, because i bet the last thing most of us want is crowded parks with people who have no reason to be there at all, but it does also harm the sport because we just don't get the exposure that we'd need for a game.
And the games are what you make of them, i owned both mad trix and ssx and though they were outrageous, i had tons of fun playing them. If you wanted to, you could do the crazy unrealistic shit, or you could leave it out. People saying that they sucked and you shouldn't even bother with them, but then saying they want more games are putting the idea in reverse. I know if i was a developer who did SSX, and read everyone saying it sucked etc, then asking for a new skiing game, i'd tell them to fuck off because we tried and people rejected what they had asked for.
