Hi i just joined new schoolers but i can be a huge contribution to you edit. My editing is top notch im coming out wiht a new edit soon u can judge me by that.
 
Welcome to the exciting and addicting community called newschoolers. As you will soon discover, it has as many douchebags as you would expect to find anywhere else.
 
I'm just saying that there's nothing wrong with being nice to someone in response to their first post.

and to the OP: Footage is valuable stuff that people work hard to shoot. If someone is good enough at filming to get solid shots, then I can guarantee that they won't be willing to give away creative control to some random kid on the internet. Get out and shoot, that's the fun part!
