ns, i went out this morning at 4 to go shoot a sunrise. Around 6 i headed back home and slept till 11. From 6 to 11 my camera was in my camera bag. When i took the camera back out around noon i tried taking some pictures with it but for some reason when i looked through the eye-piece everything was out of focus but when i take a picture everything is fine, still takes the same quality shots that it was taking before. I can't seem to find out what happened between 6 and noon, i had it in the camera bag from after the shoot till i woke up and i didn't drop it or anything. I'm shooting with a D100.
Sparknotes*Had a photo shoot, camera was fine*slept, when i woke up looked through the sight of the camera and everything was out of focus*still takes pictures fine*can't figure out what's wrong with it

your eyepiece is probably out of focus, if your camera has one that is. somewhere on your eyepiece there is a little circular knob/wheel thing, look through your eyepiece and spin the knob/wheel until the light meter readings in your eyepiece are in focus. if thats not the problem then i have no idea. (i am assuming you have a slr/dslr)

It seems to me as though something happened to the eyepiece. Was it cold where you were shooting the sunrise, on the slim chance that it was just condensation?

what happens when you look through the center of the lens back out through the viewfinder?look through the hole in your lens and line the viewfinder up to a light and look through that and see if it's still blurryi had this at one point with my XT but it went away like an hour later, idk wtf it was

Yea the eyepiece was out of focus and i found the little slidey thing, it's fine now. thanks to all of you +K
