Need boot and ski help

alright so ive narrowed down my boot choice to either the full tilt hot dogger or the full tilt drop kick but i cant decide. as for a good pair of park skis i was thinking the line afterbangs but aside from that i really dont know.

Regarding the boots it depends how you have narrowed down your search. If you have been to a boot fitter and he has told you that a full tilt is the best possible boot for you, then get which ever there all the same and you can get differnt tounges. If you have just looked online and decided you like those the best, do your feet a favour and go get actually fitted and get the boot that fits the best. You dont need Full tilts or SPK's to ride the park, get what fits you the best.

Regarding skis we would need more info to give any usefull advice.

There are a ton of park skis out there and they all slide on snow, metal, and other jibby materials. Some are stiffer than others, some are more buttery, some will perform better on the rest of the hill. This is personal preference.

As for boots, read the above, if you haven't actually, yknow, tried on a pair of these things you're basically wasting your money.

well im 5 ft 4 i wiegh 105 lbs and for the boots my brother works at a outdoors shop(like skiing climbing boarding and sturf) and hes helped me out with my boot dillema

How old are you. Adult boots are only recomended for people over 14. You may be better off with a JR boot if your under 14. What other boots does your brother sell? what else have you tried to work out full tilts are best?

im 12 but i have gigantor feet. my brother also sells nordica technica and some other brands.i was also lookin at nordica ace of spades, techica agent 80s and the pheonix firebirds but im mostly open for ideas

Really at your age, you want to be looking at a JR boot. The flex will be softer then a adult boot, as you weigh so little. Also the boots themselves will be better shaped for Jr skiers. It can be dangerous to ski in an adult boot before your bones have completly formed. Size wise you will be fine in JR boots, you wear the same size shoe as me, and Im in a 26, JR boots genrally go to 27 so you should be fine. I would guess you will end up in a 25 boot but thas just a guess. JR boots will also be much much cheaper so it will not matter if you grow out of them within a season.

Most brands will make JR boots, the SPK Kaid is good if you have a wider foot. the X3 JR can be good for a narrow foot. Head make some good JR boots. Best bet is try to find a decent shop, no offence to your brother but he does not sound like he has been fitting boots long, and have the boot fitter asses your feet and properly measure you. Getting things like footbeds will help the fit of the boots, getting full custom may be too expensize if your still growing, but some ready made footbeds will be alot better then the standard insole.

Overall though, dont get a adult boot just yet, wait a couple more years, also remeber witha JR boot you will want to get JR bindings, but again these will be cheaper, and will still work on a adult ski if thats what you end up getting. Skis like the Armada Coda could be good, the Salomon Threat or look at some K2's. Afterbangs are pretty heavy so may not be best for you. but try them you might like them

like i said your posts helpped alot. is the nordica ace of spades jr a good boot cuz it was my third placein my boot selection(eccept adult size).

All Jr boots are pretty much the same. The fit alters slightly but is not like adult boots wear they change allot. Most JR boots, be it all mountain, race or freestyle are pretty much the same. An SPK Kaid for example is nothing like an SPK. So get what fits you well and that you can afford, they will all be good for you and if a JR race boot fits best, that will be fine for park. Size is going to be most inportant, make sure you get both your feet mearsured and a shel check done when your getting the boots fitted, and dont be surprised if they recomend you a smaller boot then you were expecting.

Binding wise it will depends on the boots. JR boots have a differnt sole then adult boots so you would be better off with a JR binding. You can still get them with Dins up to 10-11 so there are no problems there. They will genrally be lighter and cheaper, so good all round.

Yeah anything like that will be good, there is really no point spending the extra money to get adult stuff, as chances are it will be too stiff and heavy for you. You could get a good JR set up for the price of just some adult skis, so in my opion that will be by far your best bet. Try to find a good shop with a good JR selection and have them help you pick out your perfect set up.

Good luck with it and ejoy your season

the ST.1 boots are my signature boot but only available to me (they are not real so dont bother looking them up)
