ok i still really havent found a definite answer for my problem here. i have a pair of look p10 lifters and i want them mounted without the lifters. how do i go about doing this? just shorter screws? or do i need some adapter plate thing?

just use shorter screws...go to your shop if you can and theyll do em if they have the screws. the lifters dont really make that much of a difference unless like riding switch and you want to have a lower profile. but if you know how to mount them yourself you just need shorter screws i think

 
just tell your techie to do it , grind down screws if he has to or go to a different shop because some are super gay with the liability bullshit.

Just dip your dong in paint and smack your helmet with it.
 
Grinding down screws isn't hard it is just unecessary you can find the screw size you are looking for in a million differnt sizes I did it to mine and they work great

you should be able to grind them down but that would be time comsuming...unless u have a half descent grinder than it would take 30 min max

i tried to get my p12's mounted without lifters. here's what's up-

they can mount the toe piece without the lifter plate, but the heel piece actually has the lifter built in. it's all one piece, so it can't be mounted without that extra few mm it raises you. they can mount the heel piece, and the front piece without the lifter, but that would actually mean your boot sits at a downward angle form the heel to the toe.

i would just mount them with the lifters. it's not a big deal. if they crack or whatever you are afraid of, there should be a warranty.
