Need an Orange Name Filmer

So I am doing a senior culminating project for HS, and it involves me filming and editing some footage and "learning a new skill." I've never filmed or edited anything before and we're required to learn a new skill for the project so I figured what the hell I might as well start now... But I need to interview an "expert" or a professional in the field, so I thought I'd post this up and see if any of you might be interested. I don't have the questions yet but it'll just be like 10 questions about basic filming and editing shit, I will post them in the thread when I come up with them. Would probably take you 5 minutes to answer them and the more responses I get from experts or professionals the better my project will be. Thanks.

Well yes but it is supposed to be a "professional," it would be difficult to explain to my judges that it's some random guy who makes good ski movies... It's a lot easier to say I interviewed ____ ____ who has experience making ski films for _____ and has been involved in ____

Here's the questions.. if you answer them please leave me your first and last name as well for reference in my project.

1. What kind of expertise do you have in the filming and editing of action sports? (Time in it/notable accomplishments etc..)

2. What kind of camera/editing software do you generally use?

3. What do you find to be the most challenging part of putting together an edit?

4. Do you have experience filming anything other than action sports? If so, how does it differ?

5. What, in your opinion, is the single most important aspect of putting together a solid edit?

6. If you edit your own footage, do you prefer filming or editing more? Why?

7. What, in your opinion, distinguishes a good edit from an average edit?

8. If you were to give one piece of advice to a beginning filmer/editor, what would it be?

Make it the fuck up.

Are you serious right now? LIke holy shit. Tell them your uncle who has parkinsons jumps from helicopters without a parachute and plays paintbal mid freefall. This is a fucking oppertunity. jesus christ. Tell them he has met the president and that he dated klhoe kardasian. Fuck.

I'd rather not make something up on the single project that decides whether or not I graduate from high school. Why lie if I don't have to? Thanks for your opinion though.

You're only a good videographer if you've attained an arbitrary status quo defined by an internet forum. Duh!

Well then you're certified. Put that shit on a resume. I actually have never seen one of your viideos but everyone says you rock and I'm a trendwhore fuck you.
