Need an opinion on some boots

Want some new boots this year. Mine are the SPK Kreations, and they're just too small.. they're a 29.5 and I should probably be riding a 30.5. I'm already buying new skis this year, so I don't wanna go bankrupt. Any good boots out there that aren't an arm and a leg $$?? i ride a lot of park.

Buy boots before you buy skis. go to a shop with a legit bootfitter and get boots that fit. A boot that fits exactly right will do more for your skiing then any ski. Spend whatever you have to on boots and then buy skis with what you have left.

Go talk to a boot fitter let him size you up and see if they have any last years models they can sell you for cheaper. Boots that truely fit right are priceless on the hill.

As said above, defiantly get your boots first, and don't skimp on them. Its worth allocating about $150 of your money for some good footbeds too, they are so important.

Defiantly go get fitted up, 29.5 is huge so its unlikely you need bigger, they may actually be too big already.

But go get fitted up and get what the fitter recommends, not what new schoolers thinks are cool.

Go to a good boot fitter. Get properly fitted. Pick from last years model or find something used. Get full custom footbeds.

If your boot shell is too small you can do a few things to make it larger. The easiest would be to get a custom footbed which will support your foot better making it not flatten out thereby making your foot a tiny bit smaller.

The more drastic approach would be to have a boot grind done, or have the boot blown out. I did this with my boot and it fits incredibly well now. Honestly the chances of a shell fit being perfect are pretty slim, most people have odd variances in their foot that a stock shell just isn't going to accommodate.

Remember you can always make a shell larger but you can't make any smaller. I'd really try and get your small boot to work for you. It really really sucks to be stuck in a boot that feels comfy initially and them packs out into a roomy pos 30 days out.

I really appreciate everyone's comments! Definitely gonna go get sized by a legit bootfitter. I'll talk to them while I'm there to see if they could do anything to my boot to make it bigger. And yes i know "29.5 is huge" haha, but I wear a 13 shoe.. so yea..

Thanks everyone. Much appreciated.
