Need advice on my next accessory.

Alrighty, so I just got my pay check today and I have 230 dollars to spend on a new piece of equipment. Currently I have:

Camera: Canon T2i

Lens's: 18-55 kit, 50mm F1.8, 28-80 F:3.5-5.6, 75-300 F: 4-5.6

Tripod: Manfrotto 701hdv with 190xb legs I believe.

Only the kit lens and the 50mm are mine.

So here are my options.

1. Rode video mic

2. Glidecam 2000pro

3. Sell my kit lens and buy a Tamron 17-50.

4. Anything else you would recommend.

So NS what should my next purchase be?

what are you primarily shooting. My vote would be to sell the kit, and possibly the 28-80 (seems like an overlap/awkward range), and then buy the 17-50 and a fader nd
 
I dont think that is his to sell.. but yea, def sell the kit and upgrade your glass.. tamron 17-50 is a good choice, and make sure you get the non-VC.
 
haha would be nice of him to mention, but that would make sense, as there is such an overlap, and that range doesn't seem to be too useful on a crop sensor
 
Yeah I am borrowing the 28-80 from a friend and am unable to sell it, and yes it does cross over range and I shoot with almost all my lens's. Since it was summer I was thinking I most likely wont need a Glidecam, but I think a video mic might be more relevant. I should be able to upgrade glass in the near future, but would you say a new lens would be more important than a new mic with the equipment I already acquire?
 
this is why I was asking what you are shooting. if you are doing stuff where you really need the audio, then go for it, but if you are filming action sports, I would advise you to get new glass before a new mic. both are important, but I think the glass would make a more significant improvement
 
Well depending on my job opportunity's I will most likely be shooting lifestyle summer events including: skating, slacklining, tramping, fishing, landscape and other summer activities. Or I might be filming skiing for a summer camp all summer. Both of these would require good glass and audio, so I am rather torn. I plan on having interviews in many of my videos.
 
That is sort of what I was thinking also and if the kit lens isn't quite cutting it I can always use the 28-80 which is very similar.
 
Am i missing something here? Dont get a mic before a decent lens. Other then the 50mm, those lenses arent very good. I would get the tamron 17-50 before a mic any day.
 
Well the only reason I am saying Mic before the Tamron is because I still have four weeks of school with work, and it would be much easier to by a mic first then sell my kit lens and look for a good tamron. Also I have no complaints with the kit lens at the moment and glass can be next purchase.
 
^ if you can get a tamron in the near future, then go for the mic, but the kit lens and tamron 17-50 are night and day difference
 
because the kit lens is no where near as bad as the built in mic. kit lens produces usable video, built in mic produces unusable audio. it depends on how important audio is to you i guess
