Hey NS,

I got accepted into University of Sydney for this coming March, and I was wondering if anyone had some good info i could use about what it'll be like, etc.

Is there skiing?

Hows the surf?

Beaches?

Girls?

Does anyone know the university location to beach or anything?

Im hoping some people here have some experience in sydney haha

Thanks for anything you can share with me

I live in sydney so hit me up when u get here. Where are you staying when your here?

Beaches are everywhere id just avoid bondi.

Closest skiing is thredbo or perisher which are next to eachother and its about 4.5 hours drive. I go down most weekends so if you want to share some fuel money. season is from june - october.

Heaps of good night life in sydney but its pretty pricey. there are a few cheap places if you know where to look.

every1 that i know that goes to sydney uni like it, try and stay on campus if u can. the uni is just a short bus ride to the beaches. maroubra beach is the best beach in sydney. surf is good. snow is not to far away, if u head to falls or hotham (vic resorts) ill be keen for a ski. IMO sydney girls are generally great.

i recon u will have a great time here,

dunno what youre on about but thredbo is a good 9-10 hour drive from sydney...

yeah definately abvoid bondi but northen beaches are best for the beaches and the girls

How slow do you drive? its 460km.. So unless your driving at about 50 itl take about 5 hours. I can do it in just under 5. Its motorway nearly the whole way at 115.

its 6 hours sydney to jindabyne, add about an hour on at each end if you live on the north shore like i do, so i have to get through the city. and plus goulburn maccas. so works about 7-8..

Similar situation here, this July I'm starting an exchange term in Canberra (ANU). Now, I'm from BC and the people you guys sent to colonize Whistler told me not to have any expectations at all, but hey.

I'm assuming Threado and Perisher are the ones I'm going to be near, can anyone chime in on cheap transport options from Canberra? Any experiences with getting your gear across the Pacific (probably can't take skis on plane due to excess luggage costs)? Would New Zealand be doable too? Just like to hear what people think.
