yeah, I wouldn't try it, because it will almost certainly damage you're bases no matter what you do. that said, you could do what teh otehr guy said, gouge out P-tex from your bases in the design you want and drip a different colour in, or you could cut out sections of the bases by removing larger pieces in the colour you want and then epoxy new pieces in a different colour into it's place, I know they do this at ski shops with really large core shots (except they don't use a different colour usually.) I'm sure there are kinds of pigment that will absorb into P-tex, but I have no idea what they would be. also if you really heated up your bases to liquid and then very carefully applied the design in some kind of paint, that would work. It would eb an interesting thing to do, i just wouldn't try it on a pair of skis I need. Or you could just use washable paint and draw yourself a new design whenever you feel like it. It might be cool to paint stripes lengthwise on your bases, then you would leave stripes on teh snow. we did that with my friends snowboard once and it was pretty cool but it wears off really quick.
