Used the searchbar but couldnt find it.Can you give some tips about drops over 30 feet how you need to land and shit

just don't pull a jamie pierre and land on your back unless it's a HUGE cliff, cuz that pussy shit to land on your back, just stomp it on your feet and ski out clean

Depends on the ski, snow, takeoff, landing, etc. But generally just land as centered as possible, absorb the impact, and pull yourself out of it as quickly as possible. There's a fine line between going too far forward and tomahawking and landing too far back and ejecting, and you have to get it perfect at that height. The main thing is getting speed and trajectory right, then being ready for the landing. The best thing you can do is go out and practice!

Descent speed, good pop, hands always in front (don't drop them at your side), use your legs when you're about to land, space your legs far enough so that your knees don't go through your face (this one's key, it ended my season last year), and if worse comes to worse, just butt check it.

, but not over 30 feet.

thats why i said unless its huge, at heights like that you have to be landing on your back to be safe... unless you do a dub front and your names seth morrison..... but i dislike when people jump reasonable sized cliffs (anywhere up to 70 or 80 in my mind) and land on their backs, beacsue it doesn't demonstate any skill, just balls.... don't get me worng, i have respect for guys like jamie, but i'd rather see a good line with a stomped cliff drop, and clean controlled skiing out, because that where i think true skill shows

if your going to straight air, knees tucked, row your hands forward in little circles...and stick that shit

so true,

i know loads of park rats who will openly say that they are not good technical skiers, but they have the balls to try something for the first time

ahah i like how u make 70-80 foot cliffs sounfd small.. i agree.. but 80 foot cliffs arent that resonable in my mind ahah.. but from a perfessional point of view i guys ahah.. but yah basically u want to fins ganrly cliif.. good take off..lots pow pow on the landing.. that u ski of..with a little bit of a pop if u would like.. and in mid air put ur knees to ur chest.. when u are about to lan extend your legs to abosrb the impact.. ski way slean.. throw some gang signs.. and ur ballin

this doesnt help you, but i would rather hit a 200 foot step down than drop a 40 foot cliff. that stuff scares the shit out of me. mad congrats to anyone who can drop cliffs. funny thing is, whenever it snows, i'm like, lets go drop some cliffs. then i film my friends!

Basic Athletic Stance, land a little backseat but not so much that all your weight is on your tails. Just enough so you don't endo on impact.

Lot of advice (some good, some not as good) already. Depending on the snow conditions and the height of the cliff, you're going to have to lean back a little to keep from going over your tips. Keep your hands in front of you though, you head looking for your run out, not down at your feet... A lot of it is in your head. If you don't think you're going to land it, you won't. Work your way up... Can't tell you anything about the 70-80 footers cause I haven't hit any.

Julien Carr said that any cliff over 70 feet you SHOULD land on your back to properly disperse the enegery. For 30 feet, the the landing is steep enough you should be able to land on your feet and ride out.

It's good to land a little bit backseat for sizeable drops, but only enough to keep you from getting tip-dive; otherwise you'll be off balance coming out of your landing, your first few high speed turns will be sketchy, and it's fairly easy to mess up your knees when you're backseat twisting and turning at high speeds.

no offense, but i bet if you had the two options in front of you, you'd pick the 40. just like everyone else in the world.
