Need a suggestion for a ski trip. East Coast-Canada

,Tremblant is decent, but i find the conditions to be rather hit-or-miss. Massif is the shit I love that place. Even on weekends its decently quiet. Best runs of my life were in thier 'back country" area, make sure you hit that up. Fortin, as I remember it being called, is also a boom glade. Steep and super undulating. And the crepe place is fucking amazing, you can get a lunch for like $8. Cant wait to go back this winter

definately not loon. in fact, just forget about NH in general. you should go to vermont........................

naa, im pretty sure i got it figured out.

comparing snow on the east coast to snow on the east coast is like comparing my dick to yours.

theyre both the same, but i got a little more.

Best in the east. Great park, great steep, great tree skiing, great snow, great vibes, two pipes.

Personally, I love mount tremblant. Amazing food, Amazing beer (le diable NOT el diablo ), and great trails with loads of variety . Tourists often get trapped in enormous lines but if you know what chairlifts to avoid you dont have to wait at all. Also , the pow gets tracked out? you must be a noob tourist because i have found pow a week after a heavy snowfall . Another thing about tremblant is that there is actually a very legit slack-country area, and when there is fresh snow tucked back there it is as fun as any skiing i have ever done.

yes tremblant is expensive, and thats because its a premium product. if you want to go there to ride the gondola and ski nansen all day , you will NOT have fun. if you go with me you will get the best skiing on the east coast .

also , i can tell you guys how to access the slack country but i dont want to just post it up here for everyone to see. please PM me if ur interested.

Tremblant will be good if you want good park, decent skiing and night life. It can be cold and icy as fuck sometimes though, but that is anywhere in the East.

If you just want to do skiing go to Le Massif, or Jay. Massif is strictly skiing, no nightlife or park. Jay has a park just not that great and Massifs park is a joke.

yeah bud.. if you have 40 some days on your pass at trembs a year.. you learn where the best spots to ride are.... Obviously jay does have much better pow than tremblant, but if he wants a good all around mountain that has everything including a sick apres ski/night-life.. go to tremblant

he obviously doesn't have 40+ days a season for numerous seasons at Tremblant. And Jay gets way more pow days a season than Tremblant so chances of fresh are much higher. I dunno about you, but I don't pick my skiing vacation based on night life. All about being able to wake up in the morning to a beautiful day, some fresh snow, and great terrain.

I have never been a pass holder, finally said fuck it and bought one for this season. But besides the point, a lot of people get first tracks tickets for free from their hotels, and other various promotions. If you know where to go though, you can still find snow. Main runs get skied out super fast, but theirs runs that no one touches, pow day or no pow day.

definitely didn't know that. I asked a guy at the ticket place and all he said was it costs a lot more money. I guess he meant because you had to buy a seasons pass for it.

so yea, it's really expensive. It comes out to 100 bucks then for a day of skiing at an East coast resort? that's a bit over the top.

I mean, that's more expensive then a full day at Whistler. And for what you get compared to whistler, way way overpriced. and whistlers about as pricey as it gets

I get em for free every weekend, granted my family owns two condo's at t-blant and I know all the main employees at both hotels, but still they give them out like free samples.

We are all tremblant locals who actually know the mountain and how to skip lines and where the good runs are. Tremblant sucks if your a tourist.

Le Massif is awesome but I think that'd be a hefty drive from Northern New Jersey. Even from Burlington, VT, Le Massif is still 5 hrs or something like that which would, I guess, put him right at that 10 hr mark.

I'd not prefer to waste my time in a car and stick to New England.

Read the OP too quickly & didn't realize this was for Winter Break. For sure ignore the above then. I'd definitely check out Jay Peak, Le Massif though I can't say anything for their parks but the trails are fun.

For a mix of park & trails, Id check out Loon. Of course it will be busy since it's a vacation week but they've done an awesome job of upgrading their lifts in recent years that the lift lines that I grew up with (Loon's my home mtn) are a thing of the past.

I doubt this will matter since I assume you're under 21 but it lacks night life (although that's improving too with the addition of some Saturday night parties at the Bunyan Room).

Blue is probably the priciest? 60 bucks for the day. still expensive for skiing on ice, but it's not 100..

springs def. got the parks and pipe to keep ya entertained, not much vert., true, but plenty of trails that will keep pops happy! And, it wont cost a small fortune.
