haha play some immortal technique, sick songs but some of the lyrics are just so fucking stupid when he starts talking about the government and shit. some of his songs are about US history i guess or mexican history idk
Hahahaha. It'd be so funny to play that Immortal Tech song. Also, that Vietnam one by Jedi Mind Tricks is good. If I can find an edited version I might use that.
If I go up in front of the class and play a rap song like that it is gunna be hilarious. I mean every other kid is gunna pick some dumb stupid druggie hippie song from the 60s that bitches about the war.
I was also thinking about Fight the Power by Public Enemy, changes by tupac or this..
Immortal Tech- The 4th Branch is a good one, and yeah, Brother Ali has a bunch of solid political songs that have already been mentioned in this thread. Oh, and "Light Up Ya Lighter" by Michael Franti.
Don't mean to drag this thread on forever, but I think I'm going to use Uncommon Valor by Jedi Mind, I found an edited version and its a sick song for Vietnam. Plus we spent a while talking about Vietnam and the soldiers experiences during the year so its perfect. And its gunna be great playing Jedi Mind Tricks for my class.
May not be the most popular by any means, but, Ballad of Ira Hayes by Johnny Cash. Its all about one of the guys who raised the American flag on Iwo Jima.
