We are 2 danish guys who look forward to our first winter season on skis in USA. but because we started planning a trip to whistler which we had to ditch, we are currently having a hard time finding accommodation in mammoth. If anyone know some websites or some people who could help us, we would really appreciate it! We are also more than ready to join some of you if you need some extra people to fill a house.thanks, Christian

If it wasn't your friend that posted the other "im from denmark" message than you should check that.
I messaged one of my friends from denmark that lived here last year in regards to the place that they lived, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I assume he is traveling or something since it has been a week now. But once I find out I will let you know.
A good place to check though is the mammoth mountain forum. There is a housing section on there where you can put in your request.

it wasn't, but thanks for the hint. I've now read that too, seems like they've got the same problem as us... the main problem with renting a place in mammoth is that all the landlords only rents for a long term period of minimum 6 months, which is almost impossible for us danes to apply visa for.i'll know try the forum you mention, but seriously if anyone are game, we would really enjoy living with someone else than danes - sort of another experience.

For the record, living with 2 norwegian girls and then having them have 3 more guy norwegians move in was the worst living situation of my life.
You guys are awesome to hang with, but it really sucks being the only person in a household of rich foreign kids that don't have to work for a few months. I had to work every day while my roommates partied, skied, partied more and then always asked me to bring them places when I went to los angeles.
If you want to live together and move in with an american that has a place, you will have a really hard time.
If you are wiling to all split up and fend for yourself, it will be far easier.
But I am still waiting to hear from my friend, and maybe you can find a 3 - 4 month lease in the mean time.

From my danish friend, "I booked my housing throw www.alpservice.com but it is expensive and a bad company. You should try ask Asger, Jonathan, Martin, Peter, Rasmus and Claus where they got there house from theres was a lot cheeper."
I'll ask them and see, but its worth a shot to check out the site regardless.

My mate and I are in a very similar situation, except ratherthan being from Denmark we are coming from Australia. We are after a place to live (sharehouse orotherwise) for January and feb. Been trawling craigslist and a few other sites but haven’t found the right place yet. If anyone has a contact, or advice forgetting in a sharehouse, it would be really appreciated.Cheers, Ben
