Ok I moved here last year and of corse it's ski paridise but I don't really have a team. I know about the southern alberta club but is there any other clubs?!?

wow i feel really left out on this one !
Wow that is an expensive team to join. Why do kids have to register through alberta alpine and not freestyle? I don't get it. That site advertises freeski terrain park training and then pay race memberships. Race teams and coaches know kids don't want to race anymore so now they all become freeski experts. Good on those guys for starting up a new team though.

Believe me we tried to go the freestyle route but RCR is strictly limiting who trains on their properties.
so in theory it sounds great to have a freeski team under freestyle...but...its not possible. the race club already has permission to be there. So that is what we are provided with. But as you can see we are offering all aspects of free skiing at a variety of hills...so hopefully we will have a good response. thx for your comments.

The rocky mtn freeride team uses freestyle insurence and registration. So for your club( I'm assuming you are part of it) you guys are insured in the park as long as your coaches have freestyle courses?
What about kids who want to do inverts?

rmf has riders on the RCR team so they have the in's. we offer competitive freestyle so we aren't in direct competition to them. gotta stay ahead of the game. and yes your right about alpine bodies lacking the organization or realizing where the sport is going. they’re happy with the race & "freestyle" parents dropping mad dollars...but tastes & trends are rapidly changing and we are trying to keep current with that in Alberta....
yes our coaches are certified to take kids in park, pipe, rails etc. Inverts probably not, that is a touchy one. i'll have to clarify that.
