Right this is my problem I think its a pretty common one. My 3's are a bit hit or miss I either land pretty backseat or land on my right side/ass and get sore right shin/sore ass! (spin left) I've read through loads of the threads keep weight forward etc but Im still screwing up, the first 180 is fine I stay pretty flat and then when coming round I go off axis. I dont carve into the jump or anything and havnt ever tried.
Just had a really bad session aswell couldnt land anything I went for a 180 and got round for the one then landed on the tips of the skis and bailed hitting my knee on my binding so have got some ice on it. The kickers are around 25/30 foot I think. But yea im just really stuck whatever I try it doesn't really work, and its getting frustrating I feel like the worst skier in the world at the moment! I pretty comfortable off of jumps I can straight line any in the park but obviously I wanna spin and nail it!

I'm in the exact same position as you are... except I have 180's down pat both ways and switch. It feels like since I am so used to the spin rate of a 180, I get all out of whack when I try and a 3. Helppp!

if your having a hard time landing on your feet try keeping your vision up. Practice this in you room on the floor . Do one looking up and one looking down (did ya almost fall)then one looking straight in front, no peeking over your shoulder or looking at your feet half way there. The ground will come so just know that. as well see it in your head. like if your sitting down right now do a 3 in your head. What would you see? 1st the computer (the take off) with out looking around whats to your right? behind? left? why I ask is knowing whats going to come is part of tricks. when your in the air on the hill at 180 you know your going to see the take off and then some trees or something and then the landing but if you spin looking for the landing the whole time your head is down and when it drops every thing els drops.

now did i just go off on a rant or do ya follow

I think I get it when im coming up to the jump I look at the tips of my skis not straight in front I think I do that quite a bit when skiing , I'll give it ago tomorrow and let you know what happens just giving my knee a rest today,
