What price range are you looking to spend? I haven't paid much attention to paintball in the last year or two but i don't think there are huge changes.
If you want a good gun for a reasonable price, I'd look up an autococker or a smart parts ion. Ion's are more designed for speedball kind of play, quick shooters, etc. Autocockers are heavier, more robust, more of a woodsball type gun.
If you want to go above that, then you have a ton of options. Dye guns, Ego's, Angel's, Impulses, ICD's, etc etc.
