Need a laptop

So saw another thread below mine like this but I need a different type of laptop. First off I don't want a Mac!!! I just need a laptop that has a good/strong processor and is reliable just basic stuff but I hate slow electronics
 
I usually never go with these but I'm tired of posting in this thread. Just get a searchbar4000 they fuckIng hum.
 
Budget? you're going to want to get the most of it, regardless of what it is
 
there have been so many of these threads lately.

The Hp envy is a good option. for about 1200 you can get one with a solid processor and drive
 
Depends how long it needs to last, for a 2 yr kind of deal any old HP Pavilion will do, for anything longer than 4 yrs id say a macbook pro, and for 2-3 its kind of iffy

No! I've gone through two MacBook pros and sure they're ok for stuff like YouTube, ns, and fassbook but I want a laptop that is reliable and can run all the ms programs well
 
maybe its just me but my hp got fucked up really fast. like pieces broke off and shit but its probably because it fell off my bed more than a few times
 
It depends on what you need the laptop for. Macs will last much longer, and virtually do not get viruses. PC's on the other hand will be much more capable of meeting your needs (depending on what your needs are) but will physically fall apart quicker.
 
oh and, depending on how soon you need it, i would wait until like august to get one. windows 8 comes out in october, but by august most computers will come with the hardware for 8 and a free upgrade when it comes out
 
It's like cars, everyone thinks they're using the best one. I've just had bad occasions with anything PC ( 3 hard drive crashes in a little over 3 weeks, no it wasn't porn) so I bought a Mac and never had a problem since.
 
honestly though they really arent bad computers. Reliability wise they are incredible. I feel directly on my mac longboarding hard enough to bend the aluminum frame completely in half and the thing worked perfectly. Also being in engineering every single program I have had to run has ran perfectly. Completely understand why someone would not want a mac, but mocking their reliability just doesnt make sense
 
I have a mbp and it's nice. My main issue with it is the price. You are paying absurd amounts for the hardware. They do a nice job of piecing it all together and optimizing the operating system around the hardware, but if you have a decent understanding of how components work. Get a PC.

My next computer is going to be a custom built computer without a doubt
 
I've got a Dell Inspiron. It's great. It handles small-medium sized games well. (Like Minecraft, Age Of Empires, League Of Legends, TF2). It's got good memory and good computing power. Battery kinda sucks, around 2 hours fully charged. It runs larger games slow though (Diablo 3, World Of Warcraft, World Of Battles Morningstar)

It's around $550, so it's defiantly worth it.
