Need a good video camera for filming skiing/skateboarding in my price range.

I am looking for a good camera preferably below 250$ good for filming skiing and skateboarding. i need good quality image please.
 
alright let me refresh that:

i would like the best quality image i can get for under 250$. good for filming skiing and skateboarding. what is a brand i should look into or even better a model thati should check out 300$ at the highest please.
 
Well this past year I had a friend who used that new Flip HD camera and it worked great for skiing. I think that is the closest to your price range you're gunna get. First off it is HD, which is sick. But it is also super portable (fits in pocket) and u can directly plug it into ur computer without a cord. It is extremely underrated and a great camera.

For that price, just go somewhere and buy what fits comfortably in your hand. The image quality isn't going to vary that much, so get something you're confident in using.
 
dont get a jvc camera.

i learned the hard way. but i like getting my stuff on ebay, most likey cheaper. but i guess its all a personal choice
 
Look for mebay a panisonic gs320 you can lurk around ebay and get one for around 250-300When it comes time for skateboarding season save up your cash for a century babydeath at 37mm and through 2 spacer rings on and you got a legit camera.Here is some good footage of that set-up I found.
 
I really think for 250 you'd be best off going with something like the gs320 as mentioned. Basically a Canon, Sony, or Panasonic miniDV camcorder.

A friend of mine has one of these, and it's not bad at all. It has a focus ring, which is a feature you won't find on many cameras in this price range. It may not be HD, but it will produce a better picture than a minoHD for sure Retailed for around 1400 when it first came out.
 
what camera do you have? i had a cheap enverio one from bestt buy 2 years ago, and it was a pain in the ass to edit. and the hd footy wasnt clear. so i sold it. but i bet the more professional you go the better the cameras get. but alot of people still dont like the jvc brand for video cameras
 
The JVC HD100, HD200, and HD250 aren't bad cameras, but they also aren't particularly amazing cameras either... either way I'd avoid consumer JVC camcorders, especially the evario as you mentioned.
