So next year I am off to college, this means i'm gonna be poor so I may not be able to afford to ski as much. My Dad told me I should remember skiing is a luxury not a necessity.
So what do you think?
Is Skiing a Luxury or Necessity?

seriously are you that sheltered that you legit dont know the answer?

Damn how did you get into college with such a immature and spoiled outlook on life?

Although he is a saying it in a pretty harsh way, he really is correct. If you can survive without it, it's a luxury.

apparently some one doesnt know how to ski. if you knew how to ski you would know how you need it for every day to live

you are saying you would literally die without skiing? i doubt it. it is a luxury. a car is a luxury, a cell phone is a luxury. mostly anything that you purchase to make your life better or more enjoyable is a luxury.

no i know the answer. for me it is luxury. I just wanted to know what you guys thought because when my dad said that I thought about a Salomon FSTV where they followed a ski bum that pretty much gave up everything to ski.

The obvious answer is luxury because skiing isnt food water or shelter. But I wanted to know how much it meant to you and at what point would skiing not be an option for you.

i see what you mean.

skiing is not a necessity for me, i just enjoy it - and i would still survive if I couldnt ski tomorrow :) i bet everybody would except TANNER HALL!!!!! :)

It is a luxury because it adds value to your life. While I would be sad if I could never do it again, I could move on
