Anyone going to be surfing this summer around MA? I'm jonesin to go but hate going by myself/with out a buddy. So if anyone wants to do some trips to the Cape or north I'd be down. Hurricane season is just a few months away!
 
i'm always trying to surf in cape ann when there's waves. i just resurrected by dad's old longboard (9'6'') from when he was younger so i hope to make a trip to nahant beach at some point, and of course heading down to the cape if the weather and waves are good, and i have someone to go with
 
Hell yea, I typically surf places north of there; Rye on the rocks, Pirates cove in NH, usually I frequent York, River mouth in Ogunquit, or Moody. If you are ever up in the area I am out most times that there are waves.
 
jeeaaaa usually surf at Nantasket Beach in Hull, or Egypt or Pegody in Scituate. Or make the occasional RI trip if the swell is a lot better down there.
 
I'd surf over skiing. My job hardly allows either but I work on the water so surfing > skiing. Not that I don't love skiing.
 
I surfed in Costa Rica. I lived there this past winter but I'm going back down to Florida Tuesday so no surfing for me ):
 
I've surfed some spots on the north shore of MA for a few years now and there are certaintly some jems out there, to be honest though the wall is probably the most consistant and despite the crowd always worth paddling out, as far as spots south of that go cape ann tends to break up the swell a lot
 
What's the best place In new England to surf? I just learned this week in lbi new jersey and I really want to do it more but I live 2 hours from a beach
 
yes i love 2nd! except if your willing to take some risk, monahans in Narragansett can get really good except it can be really dangerous, also off second cliff in scituate MA can get really good, except it's a bitch to get to, and it can dangerous if your not paying attention!
 
I'm working on a sailboat next to the navy yard. We're headed up the coast to Maine/Nova Scotia tomorrow, I think there's a good surf spot up there but hopefully we'll be back in RI soon. The surf this morning was pretty good
