NDC- Obama's Speech

I'm just saying that if you know how to make the green successfully then you can do anything in any economy. First, have job that is recession proof.
 
I suggest everyone watch CNN's Obama Revealed and think about who this cat is as a person. Watch McCains Segment and compare the two.

Obama has little or no experience with anything other than organizing people to register for stuff.

McCain has a long history of seeing projects and causes through to fruitiion.

Obama is an expert in networking himself to others.

McCain has a history of butting heads with especially Bush.

Pay very close attention to how since Obama was kid, he has been trying to find out "who he is" and to leave his "mark". McCain has been involved in exective politics for nearly a decade.

Pay attention to Obamas voting record in congress and the number of time he has voted "present". This guy does not commit or stand for anything.

Don't get sucked in to Obamas oratory skills. He stands for nothing and only show leader ship skills in regards in getting people to organize.

The more I learn, the more that scares me about Obama.

i suppose i should just throw my dreams out the window, because the fact that i go to community college, instead of a 4 year university, is going to be used to disqualify me........ (and that is what you are trying to do, disqualify McCain and Palin)

we need someone who is in better touch with america, someone who isnt a lawyer, someone who went to the same school you, and your parents went to..... WE NEED CAHNGE! o, god, that felt good.. haha

because if you ask me, it sounds like you are advancing the "old boys' network something you all hate bush for.......

 
I fucking hate taxes, and wish they were like you said, but the election should be about way more than just taxes to you. McCain is fucking insane, and so is most of the republican party these days. You want a country where the government doesn't interfere in your life by taxing you, but imagine a guy who thinks Iraq is winnable, and abortion should be illegal. His joke of a VP is even more insane, and wants abortion to be illegal even in cases of rape and incest. She also said creationism should be legitimately taught alongside evolution. So sure, Obama may want to tax you a little bit more, but, like south park said, "you're always voting between a giant douche and a turd sandwich, so you just have to vote for the one that sucks a little bit less than the other one."

why should the government pay for college?

because most people cant. if we want to have a strong generation we need people to get educated and if people aren't doing it on their own its the governments job to step in.
 
No, it's extremely reasonable, and it's what most of this world lives by.

Government should not have to pay for us. If you can't afford to go to college then in high school you should apply for scholarships and be the best that you can be. Or if you have already graduated from high school but you aren't in college then you should work and get enough money for college classes. Take two classes a semester, or take one. College is college. (Lets not compare Harvard to a community college. I know there is a difference in education there.)

I don't know about other states but Florida has a scholarship program called Bright Futures. You should take a look at it then see if your state has something like this. I couldn't get Bright Futures because my guidance counselor didn't turn my paperwork in.

I go to a really shitty community college, but as long as I get that piece of paper that says I played the game then I am happy. I pay on average about $800 a semester - that's 12 credits a semester.

It is also possible to work and go to school at the same time, which is what I am doing right now. My parents paid for my college, yes, but that does not mean I should have to pay for your college education.

Did you know that we are paying for illegal immigrants education? True story.
 
what a tragedy! theyre part of this country too. theyre here now and they deserve to get an education too. if you forgot youre an immigrant too. theres no point in denying people who are already here rights. if we cut all the illegal immigrants out of our society it would CRUMBLE.
 
... And if you're poor, you can do this while you work your part time job to supplement the family income. However, since there are more people like you than scholarship money, you probably still won't get enough of that tuition covered, so you're pretty much out of luck. Meanwhile, some asshole whose dad happens to be loaded doesn't have to try at all, and will get into whatever school he wants.

 
They came into our country illegally, we cannot go into their country and do the same.

They shouldn't have rights as a citzen, but have rights as a human being.

Our citizens deserve an education first.

My great grandparents came into this country legally, and paid taxes and they asymilated. They were proud to become American citziens, and they learned the language.

Our society WOULD NOT crumble, maybe people would get a deserving living wage.

If something is given to you (college education), you wouldn't appreciate it as much as if you had worked for it yourself.

If you honestly think that it is everyones in the United States moral obligation to make sure everyone in the country has health care and educational opportunities then show it. I don't understand why democrats cannot give their money towards achieving this goal through PRIVATE organizations. Why must everyone help you and especially why must they pay more? You are making others pay money for something which you severally strive for.

1. "theyre part of this country too" -no. they are not tax paying citizens like the rest of us. the way public education works is that people pay taxes, which in turn funds public schools. they dont pay taxes, but still get the same schools. not to mention other public services payed for by taxes.

You don't need ski resorts in order to ski. I'd rather work my ass off getting deep into the backcountry than pay for an overpriced ticket to ride up a lift so I can ski a line hundreds of people have already tracked out.
 
Then we can compare the vertical feet that i log in a year with my season pass compared to yours.

Dont get me wrong, hicking has it's place, but nothing beats hitting the slopes in the am and loging tons of vertical feet before going to work that day.
 
You guys aren't seriously argueing over what type of ski day is better are you? I believe that each has their own opinion. Leave it at that.
 
yes we all know, you would argue about a lot of things,,,,

but to be able to ski in the morning and go to work and still be productive is priceless.
 
for all you know I could be skiing 5 feet of fresh powder and big kickers that I hiked up to hit, while you hit mediocre resort features, and deal with other people and "commercialized" skiing locations.

Quality over quantity, my friend.
 
ummmmm, i live in utah, i dont think i'm hitting "midiocre" resort features, with 700 plus inches of snowfall. We have plenty of quality and quantity.
 
hmm...I skied Alta, and I skied the backside closeout zone...the closeout zone was a thousand times better. I've found this applies everywhere.

But then again it's all personal preference. I personally think that being at a resort isn't as satisfying because I'm around other people and human civilization; the main reason why I ski is to escape this.
