NBC and the Olympics Rant!!

hello i live on the west coast of the north american continent,.. which also happens to be the same area of the rock where vancouver bc and whister bc ar located. we are in what is callled "pacific time zone" but due to the fact that nbc is a fuckin shit shack all events partaining to the olympics will be delayed 3 hours. I AM FUCKIN PISSED ive tryed to stream it live but due to the fact i do not reside in the domminion of canada i cannot stream. i found a good am raido station that is broadcasting it but come the fuck on. just cause you fucks in new york cannot watch it in real time. does not mean you should fuck us over.!!! i understand that the only reason nbc does theses games is to promote there new shity ass shows and have a feild day with the commerical spots... it might just be me but i hate this shit.. at least with bejing we could get up and watch live..

i dunno its just really lame. that i could be watching in real time. but there will be no live brodcasts at all . all prime time.
 
im actually surprised you care so much, what do you need to watch so badly? besides hockey, which is going to be epic
 
uhh ski flying and areials. are pretty cool in my mind.. and any racing.. and biathon but thats just me i guess
 
at least alot of the hockey games are on TV there... here, we have to pay 150 bucks to have them streamed online...
 
In other news. THE OLYMPICS ARE OVERATED AND I'M SICK AND TIRED OF THE SHITTY ASS COMMERCIALS AND FORCED PATRIONISM. DO YOU BELIEVE? WTF DOES THAT EVEN MEAN!

I'm pretty sure no one here is being forced into anything. Canadians are literally going fucking insane! I am on a boat like 45 min's away and It's still crazy.
It's the olympics dude! look past the commercials and all the bullshit and realize the olympics for what they really are. This is the biggest and most important amateur sports event in the world. The olympics bring countries together and showcase the worlds best athletes!

Certainly seems forced when every second commercial is some garbage like do you believe etc. And give me a break the Olympics are just one big money making scheme for the big corporations that fund it not some special "gathering of the nations" How about the whole native land dispute, over board security and the debt that it plunges the host city into. Montreal just payed off their 1.5 billion dollar debt from the 76 summer games in 2006 bhahaha. I ain't hating on the atheletes but the whole idea of the game. In closing though I look foreward to watching some hockey cause who can hate on that ha.
 
why am i seeing skijumping? haha. I thought this was the opening ceremonies...
either way, its crazy seeing people jump a football field...
 
olympic moneys good sure do alot more good then watching a few people go in circles for 2 weeks.

Yea I really hate NBC, especially considering here in Seattle is like a hop skip and jump to Vancouver, but the fuckwads (no offense) in the eastern time zone see everything first. I've watched a lot of olympic coverage in past olympics from canadian feeds, which were live, more complete and comprehensive (and unabashedly canadian-loving), but can't this time. So it is tape-delayed, drama central. Fuck NBC.
 
I agree; it's ridiculous. Further evidence that NBC only cares about the East Coast. The West Coast has well over 100 million people and certainly a higher percentage of people who care about the Winter Olympics than the East Coast.
 
I'd like to extend an extended fuck you to NBC. Apparently mountain and pacific times zones were the biggest markets for the opening ceremonies (and probably the events from here on out) with seattle the biggest signle market (obviously)... BUT we get tape delay bull shit.
 
at least its not like the x games where as soon as a competitor finishes a run they get red bull or monster thrust into their hands, and spend half the time showing the sponsor stickers on their skis while they wait for their scores to come in.
