pistons trade chauncey billups and antonio mcdyess for allen iverson. what the fuck is detroit thinking. chauncey was the face of their franchise

hmmm tough to call man, iverson might tear it up, but likely just going to turn them into another 76ers

hes 33. thats old in the nba. his good days are long gone. chauncey was way better for detroit

I feel bad for McDyess, he was the only one that seemed to work hard in the playoffs last year. He wanted to win a title so bad. Now I hear he might retire because the only place he wanted to play was Detroit. Best of luck to him and Chauncey, they are great players on and off the court

i cant wait till the pats smoke the bills next week. will it be reminiscent of 56-10? or something more along the lines of 38-7?

maybe something along the lines of 17-14...o waittt thats when my g-men ruined your streak to historic perfection and took your championship. Bitch.

nothing beats 4 straight SB losses buddy.

And im tired of everyone downgrading the 16-0 season saying its worth nothing. Going undefeated in a regular season is WAY harder than winning the super bowl. Somebody has to win the SB every year, but going undefeated is so much harder. To focus that hard for 17 weeks and not make many costly mistakes and play your A game every week, that's 10 times more impressive than what the giants did. That's my opinion so I don't give a shit what anyone else says.

Back on topic now.

Financially the Nuggets probably couldn't afford both Iverson and Anthony especially when they're not contenders. I'd be happy to go to the Pistons if I were AI. I loved Billups on the Pistons.

wait one second!!!!
the nba has started already???? it seems like just yesterday the sonics were in seatle and baron davis was in golden state...... and on that thought what the heck is up with greg oden???? i mean sure he is tall and from indiana (saw em play back in highschool) but is this like a kerry wood thing or?????
im not to much of an NBA fan but how old is AI and Billups?

I think both teams come out better, Pistons get the spark they need from AI and the nuggets get consistent performers

Pistons are using him to get Lebron in 2 years. Or so says Yahoo. I'm pleased enough with Stuckey and the other up and comers to see this as a good deal for the pistons.

a girl that follows the NBA? crazy

but as a nuggets fan I'm sad to see Iverson go but its probably for the best. Billups is definitely not in his Finals MVP form anymore, but hopefully his style of play will help. Iverson plays in such a way that its hard to build a team that fits well around him. I like the slight boost we'll get on perimeter D and the larger boost to our 3 pt capabilities, but I'm concerned about Denver's inability to create good shots. AI was able to penetrate at will and draw fouls like no other which was huge when we would go thru those stretches where we can't hit a shot. The nuggets led the nba in FT attempts by a large margin which was why we were able to score so much. That won't be the case anymore.

Either way, it comes down to the nuggets stepping up big. Melo needs get down and do some dirty work, let JR light it up.

I dont think we need chauncey anymore, he was good but i feel stuckey will be better. Also, still got prince and sheed pistons will be damn good i think
