NAU

Flagstaff. Hit or miss. Sometimes they have a killer winter, and other times (like a couple seasons ago) they don't even open. There is some decent terrain. Not CO or UT but still fun if you're from the east or midwest. If you're moving to a college to ski I would recommend a place that is better. U of U or UNR are moderately priced, killer, and close to skiing.

I feel like Whistler is significantly better than Arizona. Not to mention the closer resorts.

And the raging nightlife, reallllly cool city, and pseudo legal bud if you're into that. OH! And Andrew Napier goes their now. It would be worth it just to hang out with him. Vancouver/Whistler are so sick.

know anything about the engineering, architecture program at ubc?

obviously the skiing and all around living would be way better in BC but i do care about the college too.

NAU is a great university depending on what you are going there for school wise. The mountain is an easy 12 mile or 25 minute drive away and can be a lot of fun. When there is snow the mountain fills in nicely and the back side or inner basin are loads of fun. The trees are great as well. I don't care what people say about this place but the school is great and super close to the mountain and backcountry with great potential. I just graduated a year ago and can't wait to move back.

I'll try and find out for you. I know a guy who's doing architecture but he's going to BCIT I think.

UBC would be sick, closer mountains (3) are under 30 mins away.

dont know anything about the school but Vancouver and BC are so sweet, geographically I'd say that would be a much better choice, dont really know anything about either school though.

im from arizona. dont go to NAU. its a bunch of hippies and lesbians. i finally got out of there and im headed for colorado. whatever you do, just dont go to NAU.

Vancouver's got a lot of gays, lesbians, especially in the west end area, but they blend in. I don't think many go to UBC though... most probably spend more time looking for a partner

UBC is pretty tough to get into so i hear. i am interested in goin there as well. according to time magazine its the 31st best uni in the world. their business school is really highly rated, and their architectural side is also state of the art. they have exchanges with MIT cos the facilities in vancouver are better.

my dad went there and said it was actually sooo far from the hills. my dads life was skiing and he said he went like 6 times the whole year he went there. but tell me the good things abou it

my uncle is a manager at snowbowl in AZ and from wat i hear next season it their first year for snow making so that will help a bit

I've worked there for the last 5 years and unless something crazy has happened there will still be no snowmaking there. What dept. is your uncle in?

it's closer than I was before I moved here, and 6 times a year????? seriously, I can ski 4 days a week here

i might be wrong maybe u guys still havnt been able to pass that

i think hes the head dudes im sure u know him if you work on the mountain
